UAE denounces attack on Peshawar school
Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan says 'We stand by Pakistan and its people in the face of this blind extremism and criminal terrorism'

The UAE has denounced the cowardly act of terror which targeted a school in the city of Peshawar in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and claimed the lives of 141 citizens, including 132 children.

General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forcessaid: "In this painful and difficult moment, we stand by Pakistan and its people in the face of this blind extremism and criminal terrorism and ask Allah Almighty to bless the young and innocent victims of heinous malice, perpetual hatred and dark violence.”

"As we pray for the souls of innocent children, we ask Allah the Almighty to grant solace and strength to their parents, families and to the people of friendly Pakistan."

Sheikh Mohamed went on to say such despicable acts "strengthen our resolute and firm position against extremism and terrorism because we are well aware that those criminal hands know no limits, mercy, law or religion. We are more convinced now that confronting terrorism is a collective responsibility that requires decisiveness."

"As we stand, as we always have, by the government and people of Pakistan, we learn from this deplorable crime that our war against terrorism is our way to guarantee saving lives, maintaining communities and enhancing peace and to eradicate a plague that is aimed at tarnishing our religion of Islam, which is founded on tolerance and love and which is a reflection of our humanity and identity."

@al-Hasani, mate, you have to agree that some of these condemnations are very weak, they've very tactfully sidelined denouncing the root cause of this insanity plaguing all of us. Case in point, read the comments of the so called 'Grand Mufti'......

Whatever, without getting into the nitty gritty's of these condolences without any soul, they indeed are first of their kind and are welcome to a degree.

@Irfan Baloch @Horus @Oscar @Abu Zolfiqar: Your views on these statement, do go through them one by one.... most seem lame IMHO.

Saudi Govt is quiet, there is no official statement.

In such a case 99,9% of all condemnations from the countries of the world are "lame". Not sure what you are alluding to? That any state actually supports such kind of attacks?

Are you even aware of the security situation in many Arab states? No offense but there have been hundreds of Peshawar school attacks (maybe not this type but where children have died) in war-thorn countries such as Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Libya etc.

The same day this horrible attack in Pakistan happened 15 Yemeni school girls died. Nobody made a thread about it. Well, I did but it ended up in trolling so I choose to delete it.

Let's not turn this into some kind of silly talk.

Saudi Govt is quiet, there is no official statement.

The appropriate messages were already delivered through the GCC, OIC and Aal-Sheikh. Officials have also commented on this on local media and I am pretty sure that the KSA leadership have extended their condolences in private to the Pakistani leadership as both have excellent ties - some even close personal ties.

Once again don't put the blame on us regular folks. We did not even elect our leaders unlike the Pakistani people and if you believe that KSA supports this kind of attack and its people then I guess we have nothing more to speak about.

In the same week that the Peshawar School attack happened 15 Yemeni school girls died and 150 Sunni Arab Muslim women were murdered by ISIS in Fallujah. I probably forgot a few other attacks...

Even worse. It means as if the incident was of no consequence to them. What a shame. Our people need to be reminded of this on national scale, through every media channel. I'd even recommend a nation wide campaign where every loud-speaker is used to shout-out-loud!

Sheikh's statement is not the official response of the Saudi govt.

I am not able to make sense of this.
