International probe into Kashmir killings imperative now: UN rights chief

Hes a Jordanian prince, and hes served as ambassador to the US and Mexico, as well as numerous other senior roles in the UN. He's likely seeing this from a perspective of basic human rights, and international law rather than a muslim - muslim issue.

A Prince? From Jordan? Talking about human rights....Oooh! We are all impressed...

Modi should put money where his mouth is and let UN Human rights team in Indian occupied kashmir and we will do the same in Azad Kashmir. He was having his verbal diarrhea about HR abuse on our side of Kashmir just recently.

A resolution in the UN security council should be moved with the help of China to put sanctions over gross human rights violations, torture, rape, mass murder done by India.
The US is going to veto that for sure but let the world see the faces of these so called biggest and longest so called democracies of the world.

China ? Moving resolutions on human rights..?? :woot: What's this? Comedy hour on PDF?

Sorry, we see no reason to oblige you. we have disagreed with Pakistan whenever it wished to invite the UN into Kashmir pointing to the Shimla agreement, we are not about to change that. Period.

So you admit that India is delaying peace by bringing in irrelevant topics

the 'so called AK & GB' are free, there's a reason its called AZAD Kashmir.

Here's a video of the ground realities in Pakistani Kashmir, whether or not you like Pakistan, you cant deny the massive contrast of those living in IOK and Gilgit and Azad Kashmir. :enjoy:

If your definition of peace is the Indians handing over Kashmir on a platter to Pakistan , I think both you & myself know the harsh realities of our world better than that .

Which brings us to what the talks as & when they'd be held be about.

Reminds me of an anecdote of our ex Foreign Minister - the Late Swaran Singh who among other top posts in his glittering political career was also the Foreign Minister during the liberation war of 1971.This was an off the record incident narrated to the veteran jounaist Kuldeep Nayyar.

When he was quizzed about what constituted our policy regarding talks with Pakistan , he replied that our approach is like that of a village belle who while she goes to the nearby river to fetch water exposes a bit of skin by hitching her ghagra up .This keeps the onlookers interested .

Similarly , whenever the K word was uttered , the Pakistanis were hooked & duly came to the next round of talks .

This served two purposes especially in the aftermath of the 1971 war & before the Shimla Agreement was signed .It signalled to the world that we were earnest in seeking a just solution & weren't vindictive victors.

It also served the purpose of keeping the Kashmir issue bilateral .At some point Bhutto saw through his game & lost his cool enough to abuse him.Though , Bhutto remarked later that he learnt a lot about the art of diplomacy from Swaran Singh.

You having comprehension issue? Modi was vomiting non sense about HR abuse in Azad Kashmir just recently, now with this UNHRC cheif clearly mentioning that his good office are ready to send the teams on both side of LOC, let Modi put his money where his mouth his. What say in Urdu, doodh ka doodh pur pani ka pani ho jaey ga.

Which country/countries recognise the "independent" nation of Azad Kashmir? Pakistan? China? Turkey? US? UK?

Does Islamabad have an embassy of Republic of Azad Kashmir?

Azad in Urdu means free. Freed from Indian occupation after 1948 war. Hope this will make you understand better.

you are wasting your time being appolegetic to Pakistanis and explaining them, oh we did not do anything.
Even if there are HR violations in Kashmir, it is our problem and we will deal it.

Better would be to mark HR violations in their occupied Kashmir.

The comprehension problems are all yours, chief. Indian position on UN involvement in J&K is well known, much as you might try to sneak them in. We are not about to humour you one bit. Period.

Then what are these

???

The usual and expected Indian response.

This is the UNITED NATIONS blaming India for human rights violations. Shame on you.

What do you have to hide? Allow access to independent monitors.

India decides who gets access to Indian territory.. just the way Pakistan decides who gets access to Pakistan territory..Kashmir is India's internal matter.. its a law and order problem being handled by Indian forces.. what is UNHRC going to do in that.

Comedy hour perhaps for you since Indians run low on logic when their atrocities are displayed in areas occupied by the indian forces. China never tried to be a champion of democracy, guess who does? Right and their new partner the biggest democracy. Together they become the biggest and the longest democracy preaching others on human rights while ignoring what they are doing in their backyard. The world needs a stark reminder of that.

Azad means free, as in free from Indian oppression, free from Indian control. If the people want independence then a referendum can take place, but first IOK must be free
