I can only imagine the physical and psycological pressure the doctors are under. Trying to keep up with the patients and also facing so many inevitable deaths. God keep all the people in Turkey and the people trying to help them safe.

Jun Cang, one of the Chinese team who came to Malatya for search and rescue operations, was given a gift of the Holy Quran he recovered from under the rubble. Although local news sources report that Jun is converted in Islam, some people say that he already belongs to the Hui people. Whatever the case, he is a great human being who has endeared himself to the people of the region. Not only did he save lives, he displayed exemplary moral beauty.

By the way, Chinese teams are intertwined with local rescue teams and volunteers in this way.

Türkiye's ambassador in Beijing said Tuesday that 254 tons of aid materials have been sent from China following deadly earthquakes in southern Türkiye.

They set up a crisis desk at the embassy in Beijing after the quakes struck Türkiye last week and mediated the dispatch of Chinese rescue teams, Abdulkadir Emin Onen said at an airport warehouse in the Chinese capital where humanitarian aid is collected.

He thanked the Chinese government for its support for the victims and noted there were 5,177 tents among the relief materials delivered.

Onen added that 5,922 tents will be provided within two days, while 20,000 more are being prepared to be sent to the disaster zone this week.

Nearly 32,000 people have been killed and over 80,000 wounded after the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes struck 10 southern provinces within the space of a few hours on Feb. 6, affecting around 13 million people.

The quakes hit Kahramanmaras and nine other provinces -- Adana, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, and Sanliurfa.

Several countries in the region, including Syria and Lebanon, also felt the strong tremors.
