Interesting six months at PDF

Guys i have almost completed six months in PDF now. it has been interesting six months.

i started tentatively. for first few days i used to just write few sentences in my post. i knew i had decent knowledge of defence affairs but i wanted to wait and observe. i even got message from administrator for "spamming" with one liners.

then the things picked up. i also joined the crowd and started contributing positively (i hope). i observed quite few things like some members were reluctant to "thank" other members. there were some who were bent upon "murdering" the thread. but these members were few in number.

There were times wen i tried hard to change the perception of a member towards india not realising that u can change the individual only if he/she is willing to accept your ideas. then i stopped trying.

during this period, i received my share of infractions. the first infracion was given by ELMO for a low quality post (may be she had a fight with her b/f that day or was in really foul mood). The second infraction was a result of over some unkind remarks on kashmir by a pakistani member. i retorted by saying the same genocide was going on in baluchistan and proceeded to vent my anger. the second infractions was richly deserved.

wat i found out here was that people are more patriotic than i had previously thought. but most of us are very reluctant to accept mistakes committed by our countries (purely my opinion kindly do not debate).

i have been called a fool, a retard, a "wet dreams" man and even premature ejacu**** dreaming big(lol that was really funny) but i guess every one has gone through these espressions.

i have made a few friends (sorry i havent been able to keep in touch through personal messages). hopefully i have not made any personal enemy (after all we r internet warriors just doing our job of defending our country ).

lets see wat future brings for me in PDF?

wat i found out here was that people are more patriotic than i had previously thought. but most of us are very reluctant to accept mistakes committed by our countries (purely my opinion kindly do not debate).

this is not your opinion but a fact-of-life - both our countries are living in the anamosities of our past - we dont want to shed them and move forward.

i have visited india many times - when the people ask me where i am from, i say Pakistan - for a sec they are taken aback, then there is a smile, a handshake and the friendship flows......thats all it takes.

the US 'nuked' the Japanese and look where they are now!!! there are many other examples.

anyway, i hope u continue your stay at the PDF.

Congrats, its a rare feat nowadays for a guy in Tricolor.

It will be more interesting when its more than a year. The post of Fatman sir sums it all.

What that amazes me still is the behavior of few very old forumers here, few of them fellow "Premiums" , who has more than 3 years experience here and still indulging in mud throwing and abuse wars.. they are still an enigma ..

thanx. i do hope i m able to maintain my sanity. sure i have had bouts of hatred and anger but i was able to overcome by thinking from pakistanis/chinese point of view. lets hope it remains.

I've been here for almost a year now.

And you can't change people's opinion unless you polictically change their thinking. Or actually sat down with them in real life and discussed issues.
