thats actually give us a insight on how us use to or still operate in Afghanistan and it also kind of proves that from us point of view the surge policy might work , but the problem lies is how many special forces can us spare for this mission , it also give me a idea for how Pakistan should operate after the big military operations have finished in sw and other troubled areas .

I think US special forces should carry with them Rossetta stone's "Pashto level 1"

Kinda helps them 2 connect with the locals.

no because the problem is pushto is high context language and english is low context meaning words have specific meaning ,so its better to have local translators loyal to your cause who can explain the context in the point which is understandable to the both parties.
