New lines are Standard Gauge.
i don't think Kolkata metro uses narrow gauge. the original Lines are broad gauge.

No mate,I didn't mean that the trains are narrow guage-they are broad gauge.The problem is they are too narrow & short ( ICF guys had a tough job fitting Roof mounted ac on to these rakes ) ...The size is kept small due to the smaller size of the existing tunnels...

New lines are standard gauge and will use wider rakes.
