Well I have heard some Rumors online with respect to Medicine research in Big Pharmaceutical
According to Rumors

a) Drugs are not fully tested for all Races , as the effect of drugs vary by race
b) White mice were artificially created in order to closely resemble the genetics of white people.

Medicine which may work 100% for white patient may not fully work with a black person (African) , Big Pharma does not bother to test the formula for other races as it is not financially profitable for them to worry about low income black people.

Also some folks pointed towards a point that Africans don't get as many cases of cancer vs lighter skin people.
