The matter of the 'mother vessel', the hijacked trawler Prantalay is also worthy of note. The Somalian pirates with their skiffs and antiquated fishing boats cannot operate long and far from their coasts. Hence over the years they have used commandeered ships like trawlers, seiners and tugs to support the skiffs. The trawlers and fishing boats are especially suitable because of sea-keeping and spaces like their fish holds that can be used to store arms, ammunition and extra fuel. They are the real support system and must be destroyed.

The last time the IN blew one of them out of the water, all the "fish" blew up, and people made a huge 'song and dance' about it.
