Do you watch infotainment ? Do you like it ? The things they show on these channels , How authentic are they ? What are your favorite shows ?

I like all of them but mostly watch History TV 18 , Animal Planet and Fox Life. My Favorite shows are those on Universe , Aliens , Pawn Stars , Restoration , Baggage Battles , Magician Impossible , Food Safari , Eat Street , Some Indian Shows etc .

Watch restoration sometimes they show here in OZ. I find it bit interesting.

I will go with Discovery since its the most nostalgic for me since that was my favourite channel on cable TV as a kid when we first got it. Junkyard wars is probably my all time favourite show along with the early mythbusters. Stand alone features were also quite high quality.

National Geographic is of course even older (the organisation is really old and predates TV of course)...but that used to only come for us in regular channels as individual features till I moved to Singapore and we got the full channel there (and eventually animal planet and much later history channel).

BBC documentary channel was also quite good...in fact I think Animal planet was originally a collaboration between the BBC and discovery.

Best theme song from the old discovery:

Megan was such a cutie too (in the episodes she was in)....one of my first crushes!

Ian Wright was the best host for that show tho overall.

I now believe its called GlobeTrekker instead of lonely planet.....but it will always be lonely planet to me! Haven't watched it in ages though!

Well, in that case (and against my better judgement if I may add ) I would have to go with Discovery for the same reasons mentioned by @Nilgiri .

PS - I also loved the Animal Planet show called The Most Extreme and especially the hindi dubbing, the voice over artist was just great and so was the show.Too bad they do not air it anymore.

Documentaries made on India by western documentarians should now move away from using tried and tested Sitar / Tabla / Flute music as background score. It's ad nauseam..

Forgot to add, I really enjoyed the earlier seasons of American Chopper ....till it became too much family drama etc.

They had some really awesome builds and a good dynamic.

Paulie and Sr on such good terms in the old original shop and they so chill (knowing how it all changed later).......so much nostalgia

Except for Baggage Battles I watch em all. Nothing can replace the happiness of watching bear grills and documentaries on India defence.

Actually I love em all....infact they are the only channels I watch...but history channel has better programmes!!
