May be. But it is a victory on the diplomatic side for us. The Baloch separatists have lost their voice in Amreeka at least. There is also news that self exiled Khan of Kalat might come back too.

Why is the word 'Influential' being used? By no standards is he influential, lets not make him into someone important because he certainly is not. But his backers and financiers are certainly not going to be happy, they are going to loose the millions they have spent on him.

He had relations with the US officials etc. As I said it is a diplomatic victory for us. While we have full faith in our armed forces, such diplomatic victories are also important. Good to see Pakistani diplomats are not just wasting Pakistan's money in USA and doing some work too.

I don't think it was the PPP that started it, this may have more to do with the Pakistan Supreme court getting involved with Baluchistan's civil issues.

Anyways, while I think this is a diplomatic victory against those voices in the US calling for Baluchistan's separation, I can't help but be suspicious at the sudden change of heart.

If this is true, we would support Dr Wahid's campaign to push for greater rights for the Balochistan. Whoever quits violence is our citizen and our brother. If this move is really as it is being reported, it can greatly help in the counter narrative against the armed insurgent groups.

Autonomy isn't the issue, its the lack of the 'implimentation' of constitutional rights.
