Infanticide in Jaisalmer: Four new born girls starved to death in 10 days

Jaipur/ Jaisalmer: With government introducing the new measures to control the rise in infanticide and infanticide cases in Rajasthan, it seems the Jailasmer district needs more efforts to dig out the evil from its roots. According to the police in last 10 days, four new born girls have put to death.

Police suspects that the infanticide is rampant and in most of the cases it is being carried out with the help and consent of the parents.The Rajasthan state has been dealt sensitively with the rampant feoticide cases. In Census 2011, Rajasthan has 883 girls between the age of 0-6 for every 1,000 boys. The child sex ratio in 2001 was 909.

Hawwa ki betiyon ke muqaddar ajeeb hain.

Only solution lies with the government to make a strong rule against, make special courts for these cases and give exceptional punishment to the culprits...

Also, Govt should launch a massive awareness campaign which should run monthly once atleast and more frequently where this shameful practice is followed
