Viet the dominant power of asean?I'm surprised Indonesian members not commenting on this news here.
If Indonesia isn't gonna respond with equal force then i'm afraid the Indonesians here were wrong from the beginning about their strength.Viet the dominant power of asean?
You r right....paper tiger....Indonesians always talk about they are the supa powa of ASEAN....If Indonesia isn't gonna respond with equal force then i'm afraid the Indonesians here were wrong from the beginning about their strength.
Quite disappointing if it is gonna let Vietnam get away with it. Capturing Vietnamese fishing boats and destroying them every time isn't that big of a deal but this time Indonesia can demonstrate its true strength. The thieves need to be punished. You r right....paper tiger....Indonesians always talk about they are the supa powa of ASEAN....
in 1979, CN force just lost badly in oil rig conflict near Paracel against VN. What can u expect from useless ID navy ??If Indonesia isn't gonna respond with equal force then i'm afraid the Indonesians here were wrong from the beginning about their strength.

Soon after China moved its oil rig to south of Paracel Islands and established an exclusion zone around it, Vietnam vociferously protested the move as an infringement of its sovereignty. It sent 29 ships to attempt to disrupt the rig's placement and operations. The ships met resistance from Chinese ships escorting the rig, and Vietnam stated that its ships were repeatedly rammed and sprayed with water resulting in 6 people being injured,[10] while China stated that its ships were also rammed and it sprayed water in self-defense. On May 26, a Vietnamese fishing boat sank near the oil rig after being rammed by a Chinese vessel; the incident was shown by a video footage from Vietnam a week later.[11]
Internationally, Vietnam attempted to garner support at the ASEAN summit which occurred on May 10–11. Domestically, the tensions with China resulted in people protesting against Chinese actions, which was considered rare in a communist country where the government clamped down on public protests.[12] On May 13 and 14, anti-Chinese protests in Vietnam escalated into riots in which many foreign businesses and Chinese workers were targeted.[7] Businesses owned by foreign investors from China, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan and South Korea were subject to vandalism and looting due to the confusion by protesters who believed the establishments to be Chinese.[13][14]
Indonesia should buy powerful weapons to counter Vietnam.Quite disappointing if it is gonna let Vietnam get away with it. Ha ha you sound like a PLA salesman, always keen to sell weapons to any party of any conflict. If there is a need the indo should never buy Chinese made weapons. One of your anti aircraft gun malfunctioned killing 4 indo soldiers recently.Indonesia should buy powerful weapons to counter Vietnam.
Indonesia has more financial recourses.
But if they don't invest in military muscles, they are gonna lose their ASEAN leader role.....
This does not in involve China. Let "boss of SE Asia " deal with the little thief.ASEAN must do something to check on this unruly trouble making country in the SCS.
China will make sure that peace and prosperity continues. We cannot let Vietnam disturb the progress made so far in handling disputes.
I think they are ashamed since viet made the boss look weakI'm surprised Indonesian members not commenting on this news here.
The funny thing is that if ID buy more weapon, then its neighbours Aussie, Maylaysia, East Timor also will buy more weapons cos ID is their bigger threat than VN. Aussie, Maylaysia, East Timor also will support VN to ram and sink more ID ships.Ha ha you sound like a PLA salesman, always keen to sell weapons to any party of any conflict. Who said anything about selling them Chinese weapons?Ha ha you sound like a PLA salesman, always keen to sell weapons to any party of any conflict. If there is a need the indo should never buy Chinese made weapons. One of your anti aircraft gun malfunctioned killing 4 indo soldiers recently.

Aussie can sell VN some big ships like USCGC MORGENTHAU that US just sold to VN ,Displacement: 3,250 tons, to support VN ramming more ID coast guard
USCGC MORGENTHAU (WHEC 722)
Cos Aussie government is US ally, and Aussie leaders will do whatever US tell them to do including selling big ship like USCGC Morgenthau that US just sold to VN.Beggars can't be choosers. Why would we sell anything to vietnam when we know we won't be able to recover our cost?
