I think we should cooperate with Indonesians but on something more worthwhile and something that just doesn't get washed up after a single tsunami. How about creating a shipping lane between the 2 countries that keeps the interests of India and Indonesia in mutual benefit. Or some other infrastructure area like making a port in one of the many Indonesian port cities.
A road across such a vast distance and that too in an area very vulnerable to tsunamis is a risky investment for both Indonesians, us as well as the people who use that road system in the future (whenever it is made).
