Indonesia looks to win exports in Bangladesh

Double checked... yup, that's 4630 km or around 2500 nmi.

This is the 1st ship of its class built by Palindo Marine for our Coast Guard, so the specs might be specific to their requirement. Our coast guard ordered 2 units 110 meter and 2 units 80 meter OPV from this shipyard for around $USD 70 million. Not more than $USD 20 million/unit, so that's kind of bargain.

2500 nmi is adequate for patrol cruising around Indonesian archipelago.

OK! fair price and performance...

110 meter x 15 meter
2400 Ton
20+ knot speed
Helipad for medium helicopter
Cruising range 4600 km
BV classification

Seems ideal for us .Our coast guard looking for OPV it can satisfy our requirements .

Yeah, it's pretty affordable too. How much BD pay for minerva class?

This one the 80 meter OPV design for our Coast Guard.

These ships are built to be fitted for but not with weapon system. So these CG vessels can be converted into naval ships later on, but the initial cost to build them would be cheaper.

The refurbishment and refit contract for the Minerva class to Bangladesh Coast Guard was a Govt. to Govt. deal - so it was reasonable compared to a regular deal.

Per Govt. sources - Bangladesh Govt. paid roughly 105 Million Euro or US$123 Million for all four ships, which is a bargain. But I believe the electronics is all new. Still this reflects European prices which will always be more expensive than Indonesian pricing and labor rates.

average only $17.5 million for one ship ! ! ! ! that is so cheap ! ! ! :o:
indeed. That's a steal if we look at the price tag put on similar vessels marketed by European shipyards.

Yup. $USD 30 million a piece for refurbished 30 years old corvette. Might be cheap for European standard.

There you go. :-)

Frigate ToT from China to CTG. Dry Dock/Western Marine.

OPV ToT from Indonesia to KSY and DEW. :-)

At this rate, we will have standardized lead Frigates and lead Coast Guard OPV classes in less than five years once we start.

This was a 'stop-gap' measure until 'standard' OPV's get built. The higher ups in the administration probably made a killing. :-)

Deal including ToT usually cost significantly higher though..

How much higher if I may ask?

I wish Indonesia participated in our Frigate program, it would save so much of our money.
As far as unofficial source, chinese Type54B frigate version is leading with $400million price tag.
By the end of April, it be will finalized
