Indonesia competes with countries for factory relocation from China

Could be however unrealistic. We have a much stronger production base. Take rice production. We export rice, while Indonesia imports. The reason (they even admit it): our farmers are more or less fully mechanized, while in Indonesia the people still do rice planting in a primitive or traditional way :D

We achieved self sustainability of rice production in the 90s. Then, indonesia realized agriculture would not take Indonesia into the next level, the 90s crisis is partly caused by weak domestic industrial base. Nowadays, agriculture is pretty much not the focus for now, we rather spread our wealth to help Viet farmers by buying from them while we focus on our Industrial base which is larger than Viet entire economy.

We have to help each other right? :D

Donald Trump is angry because Xi refuses to resume buying soybeans and other agra stuffs. You mean Indonesia is more advanced than the US, not relying on farmings? Ok if so then Congrats to you.

Our farmers produce too much we need export markers.

BTW Pakistan is the best place since there's not so much distance and factories located along CPEC can benefit from the trade route.
Pakistan is one of the farthest neighbouring countries from Chinese manufacturing hubs.

Distance isn't a factor in relocation anyway.
