"The existence of DBL as a forum to help young people who perform in various cities, we are pursing more young people to appear in 30 cities into the five best male and female players from Aceh to Papua which we then give the title of KFC First Team which numbers around 300 people which we will fly to the same place. They will undergo the DBL Camp selection process, there they will compete for 12 men's and women's tickets for us to give the title of KFC DBL Indonesia All Star," said Director of DBL Indonesia, Masany Audri.
Masany believes that DBL's success cannot necessarily be separated from the role of many parties. The birth of young talents who performed at DBL, for Masany, was an achievement that was successfully achieved. He hopes that every talent that emerges can be seen and made an option in defending the national team.
"I believe our success comes with the role of many parties. The birth of the talents who performed at DBL was an achievement for us. I hope that from around 40 thousand students who perform, they can get the opportunity to be seen and used as an option to defend the national team in the future," hoped Masany.
As the league's new official partner for the 2022-2023 season, KFC provides full support for basketball events that generate great interest from students from thousands of participating schools throughout the archipelago. As a form of KFC support is livestreaming shows. The total number of matches played through the YouTube channel and the DBL Play application is 1,000 matches. He was also grateful for this because he was able to break athletes who later successfully defended the national team, he pointed out with several athletes who competed at PON XX in Papua last year.
"As a federation I see DBL as having tremendous consistency in nurturing talented students. We can finally feel these benefits, one of which is some of our representatives who last year appeared at PON as DBL players," said Irto in response.
Vanissa Renata, one of the KFC DBL Indonesia All Star 2022, shared her experience when training in the United States. She said that the experience she gained was really valuable to her because she was able to train in the United States.
"It was a really valuable experience for me, because I was able to meet friends from all over Indonesia and be able to bond with them. Time to leave for the United States yesterday. Shortly before practice, I saw Kevin Durrant practice. That's a once-in-a-lifetime event I get to see how NBA athletes struggle. When we competed yesterday, we all needed to adapt again to the weather because it was cold there," Vanissa recalled. (MRS)
