That's where the Chinese got a pasting in Nathula in 1967 and a hiding in the Sumdrongchu Valley (AP) 1986. Unfortunately the Chinese thought it was the same Indian Army of 1962! Boy! Were they surprised! Red in the face and with huge casualties, they had to withdraw from Nathula and Chola. However in AP they were warned to get the heck out and they did without a whimper! Thanks to Gen Sundarjee and his no-nonsense aggressive stand.I admire your confidence, but the battle lines won't be in the Indian Ocean.
Most likely NE India and Ladakh.
India has come a long way, baby! The Chinese have realised this and have offered to smoke the peace pipe with India especially after it told the Chinese to literally go take a walk when they objected to India's oil exploration in Vietnamese waters.
The Chinese even stopped the water diversion project on the Brahmaputra after India warned them to stop the project. After all, there's a projected $100 billion at stake in Sino-Indian trade by 2015. China can't afford to lose that kind of money by trying to provoke India.
Thus, as far as Chinese intimidation goes, it is a policy of 'thus far and no further' against India!
Cheers!
