India's weapon KALI-5000

In the year 2009, first time I heard about Kali, and get to know that Kali 5000 weighs 10 ton and Kali 10000 weighs 26 ton and that both are single pulse device and take close to 30 mins between two bursts. And after 5 years, I am disappointed to learn that it still weigh the same.

HOW and WHY obsolete??You need to explain and substantiate your claim with proper contents and reasoning,otherwise people will think you are just full of hot air and nothing else.

KALI is a linear electron accelerator, not a Laser device or weapon. While the US has already developed airborne lasers already that can poke a hole in some weaponry or their platform...

The KALI-5000 is a pulsed accelerator of 1 MeV electron energy, 50-100 ns pulse time, 40kA Current and 40 GW Power level. The system is quite bulky as well, with the KALI-5000 weighing 10 tons, and the KALI-10000, weighing 26 tons. They are also very power hungry, and require a cooling tank of 12,000 liters of oil. Recharging time is also too long to make it a viable weapon in its present form.

After 10 years, India itself would discard such obsolete system on its own which would not compete with most modern western competition.

Every one knows that KALI is not intended to be a laser weapon but linear injector that would fire high energy burst of microwave pulse towards a fighter/missile or any vehicle and destroy their electronic devices to render them inoperable.In other words,it was meant to be soft kill system.
But that doesn't make it obsolete,does it??
