That is how the hapless poor people managed to stall projects worth billions of dollar? Overdose of Socialist BS fed by the NGOs has been clearly taking it's toll. What do you think the Singur Agitation was all about? Do you think it was a poor farmers vs greedy corporate affair?

Sir, if it wasnt for NGO's these people will not be heard, I have had these discussion before, particularly narmada threat, where i had proved how the government hasnt paid compensation that was promised 15 years ago, and not they want to expand more.

Why do i support poor ? Have you every been involved in a court case in India ? I have been, the time effort and pain it takes apart from money ( each date your lawyer chargers money) and you see that to accused party doesnt show up, sometimes his lawyer doesnt show up ... sometime they give you a date becayse lawyer forget his chasma at home and he cannot argue properly

agree with you, but govt on its part can be transparent, Move people into allotted land/ cash remuneration before moving them out ... then there will be no false claims

Hey. Let's not be a commie here. Remember development comes from tapping into resources. I also come from a simple background but if you see, these tribals are usually so adamant that they will neither accept re location nor they will accept compensation. They want everything free from the government and yet they won't make ways for government to earn money and give them that handout.

We need energy and nuclear is the major way than coal or oil. Renewable is good but won't be enough for 125 crore Indians.

These people can be negotiated, asked and helped but if they are adamant, they have to be swept off.

China took harsh decisions, US took harsh decisions, Japan took harsh decisions and that is why they are developed.

If we keep a commie outlook even now, fir to ho chuka India developed.



Becuase such issues are so politically sensitive that they cannot have a fall back plan.

Remember, we are talking about resources that is owned by us. All rich resourceful lands are either in the hands of these obstinate tribals or in the hands of those sick crazy maoists. Where do we extract resources to become a developed nation?
The only way is to negotiate first with them and then if they don't listen, use force.

u see the first thing is these tribal area have vast natural resources...if we combine jharkhand and orrisa it contains more than 75% of the essential mineral asset of our nation...
but at the same time these lands are home of million of tribal people...
they are the aboriginals of the land ...we are the outsider here... they don't want govt. interfereing in their land.... we want mineral but they want their 1000's of year old land... we talk in money and development...they talk in memories and culture...
truly speaking , i don't know which way is correct... but one thing is certain... they will slowly be assimilated in the development line... these are poor people staying there working as miners in those mines... they have no where to go.... had our govt. cared for them then we would have not writing on this thread...
its not like money is not there for relocation or for rehabilitation but all money neber reaches the poor....
its really hard to say...if this so called modern development is really worthy enough to move humanity to next level or we are preparing our own death bed...
