India's UCAV To Be A Neuron Clone?

India's indigenous stealth UCAV programme, AURA, could borrow a lot of design from the European Neuron UCAV technology demonstrator.

The image above, (snapped helpfully with a cell phone off a doc I hope to see a full version of soon) could be another glimpse into how the programme is thinking, and it sure looks like the Neuron to me.

Interestingly, the AURA team has in fact been offered a technology partnership by the Neuron's programme leader Dassault Aviation, though the offer may not have anything directly to do with the Neuron programme itself.

Incidentally, the AURA started out as a secret defence project (like India's SSBN programme), though the establishment has not only acknowledged its existence, but begun to talk quite a bit about it. Hope to get some real juice at Aero India though. Maybe a model too? Unlikely, but you never know.

Though, I would not mind at all, if we churn out AURA as a neuron copy in this decade!

I think this is the mobile phone used by Mr. Aroor.

Anyways, Guys please focus on the important part here which is possibilty of ADA and Dassault cooperation for the AURA project.

If we can complete this project in this decade, even with dassault's help;it would be a great achievement.

For quite some months he is reporting peculiar staffs. It looks similar shape to that of Neuron mean it is a copy? Neuron is of similar shape to that of B-2 Spirit, does it mean mean copy? What about Taranis? Is it a copy of Neuron? Mig Skat?

No country sells such UCAVs. Its restricted by MTCR. Its a strategic game changer like sensitive technologies of ICBM, nuclear submarine etc.

There is no link between AURA and Neuron or anything else. Its just fantasy dream of Shiv Aroor. He did it earlier as well. Because they look 'similar'!!! That is a ridiculous out come of strange knowledge.

Yes, selling of such system is restricted by MTCR. Forget this, Russia even stopped sell of much smaller drone UCAV to South Korea by US. But UCAVs like AURA or Neuron can carry thousands of kg to thousands of km away while MTCR restricts 500 kg up to 300 km.

ADA has never revealed the design , So how can one Imagine and War upon the Design he imagines?? Some bloggers are nuts, I dint expect shiv to be one...
