Pakistan’s military deserves kudos for its coming up to public expectations in this crucial time as against the civilian leaders who are thoroughly engrossed in their dirty games abdicating their responsibilities to the chief of army staff (COAS)
India’s frustration over the defeat of its proxies in FATA, Balochistan and Karachi is clearly manifest in its senseless target killing of civilians across the Line of Control (LoC) and the Working Boundary. The world needs no further proof than this to the fact that terrorism in Pakistan was neither home-grown nor state-sponsored; it was sponsored by India to not only destabilized Pakistan but also tarnish its image as a peace-loving country. Today, it can be clearly seen that Pakistan has successfully countered and defeated India-funded terrorism. Pakistan’s military leadership deserves kudos for their bravery as against the civilian leaders who are thoroughly engrossed in their dirty games abdicating their responsibilities to the chief of army staff (COAS).
Adding insult to injury is the fierce separation movement in Indian-held Kashmir where every Kashmiri feels honored to fly Pakistan flag publically wherever possible. This is despite the fact that Pakistani prime minister virtually abandoned them, first time in the history, by agreeing not to discuss Kashmir in the meeting of National Security Advisers of both the countries. This meek posture was blatantly exposed in Ufa, Russia where both the PMs met on the sidelines of SCO summit meeting.
Presently, India was hurting Pakistan on three fronts; FATA, Karachi and Balochistan. FATA is not like rest of Pakistan because the tribes living in various tribal agencies have their own set of laws and Pakistani law generally does not apply there. India, with the assistance of Afghan Intelligence Agency, NDS, sponsored terrorists who called themselves Pakistani Taliban and later TTP. They were led by those held at US detention facility at Guantanamo Bay and released on dubious grounds. They played havoc in Pakistan and were growing thanks to the cowardice of political governments.
After the commencement of Operation Zarb-e-Azb in FATA, these terrorists are facing near annihilation and there is a remarkable decrease in terrorist acts across the country. Same is the case of urban terrorism in Karachi where a political party having close links with India RAW and British MI6 had taken the city as hostage thriving on their grip and running extraction, land grabbing and target killing. Para-military Rangers, supported by Army have moved in a started clean-up operation with these urban terrorists on the run.
The last straw of India’s back was successful operation against India-funded separatists. After their commander was killed, their exiled leader has offered to surrender.
Thus, India’s anger against Pakistan and its armed forces is not without a reason. India has lost 4GW in Pakistan with its proxies in FATA, Karachi and Balochistan on the run. Some elements in the media who have been projecting armed forces in the negative light have also been identified with those media houses facing public boycott.
Yesterday, Pakistan’s COAS has correctly said that there is definite linkage between terrorism being sponsored by India in various parts of Pakistan and belligerence along the working boundary and line of control. He was very clear when he said that India has crossed all limits to terrorize Pakistani citizens and has disregarded the international conventions and norms.
