India's nuclear deterrence lacks capability

I am not a expert in defence related issues... i am a beingnner but i edited the above photos according to my imagination....if there is anything wrong plz correct....

http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j351/Raviprakash1/atv3a.jpg
http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j351/Raviprakash1/arihant-render.jpg

According to my imagination the indications that are marked in the pics(only with respect to bulge and Missile hatch) in the above 2 urls are wrong....

http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j351/Raviprakash1/arihantreleasedearlyJune20101.png

In this url u can see something like Box shape behind the coning tower...i think it is the exterior part of the submarine where missile silos are kept....but it is mistaken as open missile hatch as it looks very small in size due to the resolution of the image....

http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j351/Raviprakash1/ins-arihantedit.jpg

In this url u can see the length of the exterior part (i.e the box shaped behind the coning tower) of the submarine where missile silos are kept

http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j351/Raviprakash1/jin_classedit.jpg

And the box shaped thing behind the conning tower is similar to Jin class submarine of PLA navy....not completely but with the shape...
http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j351/Raviprakash1/SL_cannister-750872edit.jpg

And the lenght of the Box shape thing behind the coning tower can be justified with this image....bcoz the K-15 missile and its Submarine launched canister is considerably small....

http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j351/Raviprakash1/insarihantzoomed1.jpg
http://i1081.photobucket.com/albums/j351/Raviprakash1/INS_Arihant_launch.jpg

And in the above two URls u can see where Mrs. Kaur was standing on the submarine and was breaking the coconut to the coning tower....

And all the above descriptions are completely my imagination.....it may be true or worng....

Well we need to work more on our delivery system and nuclear capable missile and second strike capabilities,,,and we also need to maintain enough nuclear warheads while keeping size and strenth china and there delivery sytem..

Maybe we should build more Nuke submarines and aerial aircraft's which can carry nukes..
And increase the number of nuke stockpile

i think navy and airforce shud be stronger.and capable to do a nuke attack.
one nuclear submarine will not solve any problem

exactly if we are thinking that just building 2-3 submarine and a few ballistic missiles we can achieve 2nd strike capabilities, then we are fools.

The main deterrence is achieved only when we have the technology to build the weapons as a whole not just some missiles and bombs. till they are underdevelopment, we have second strike capability not more than a BIG ZERO.
it will take at least 10 more years for this to come truly ours.

From Wikipedia
Submarine-launched ballistic missiles are the classic, but very expensive, method of providing a second strike capability

Pakistan now has deeply buried storage and launch facilities to retain a second strike capability in a nuclear war. These are far less costly and effective option which Pakistan has in place.

Why is India not exercising the much more cost effective means of second strike capability?

Ahh thats not the cool way..its boring, and more over less costs means less corruption opportunities for our politicians

As the VISION-2020 suggest India as a Nuclear power and IAF as a Nuclear force. India will have to acquire the capability of launching these weapons thus the delivery system for the Nuclear arsenals and to defend them. For this IAF would have a major role to play as via-air dropping is the easiest and the most common method used in wars.

Currently IAF is under development with first to acquire the force multipliers and setting up of a Nuclear Command And Post. If we take a look at the IAF's fleet of year 2020, the list would as follows-

i m sorry i wont agree with u
a true second strike capability can only be achieved if nuclear triad is in place. that means essentially a sbumbarine launch baalestic missile capability.

deeply buried storage and launch facilities can be detected with dedicated satellites.

and a single multiple strike can decimate all these facilities/airfields. hence a submarine is the only answer.
