India's NSG In Full Kit

It's not bad for what it is.

They also have EO TECH (guy on the left is SPG, guy on the right is NSG):

EOTech is decent but a bit too bulky for MP5.

Aimpoint has better option for smaller guns and better sight area.

Aimpoint is good for longer ranges but not for CQB which is what these guys specialise in.

. . .
i dont believe MP5 is best one...it is good in close combat but not that much compared to Ak ....i have MP5 A2 and i fired alot ..and if you asked my opinion about this SMG i will say Iss se kutta bhi nai marta ...

MP5 uses 9mm parabellum it's used so that in CQB combat the round doesn't go through wall and kill hostage/civilian. 7.62 X 39/51mm is used for assault/battle roles to kill targets with fewer bullets albeit with lower accuracy.

MP5 is versatile that's why SF operator uses it as primary in NSG. For other roles these rifles are used :

This is just the tip of the iceberg. Post 26/11 every state has a Special Response Unit/SWAT team along with every major city- this is mandatory. Now the smaller cities/towns are also getting such teams.

. .
Buzz off troll. MP-5 is the standard issue primary weapon for most assaulters as it is simply the go-to CQB weapon for almost every specialised unit in the world. Having said that post 26/11 the NSG has actively increased the number of 5.56mm assault rifles within their teams so now a typical NSG HIT (their terminology for an assault team made up of 8-10 members) will have 1-2 men with a SIG-552 rifle firing 5.56mm rounds for longer-range engagements, 1 breacher with a shotgun and the rest with MP-5s. It is a pretty ideal mix for what the NSG is mandated to do.

Ak-47s for the NSG is a no-go, a) they are too long and bulky for CQB b) the risks of over-penertration in a CQB environment with hostages running around and the like is just too great with a 7.62mm round.

Leave it to the professionals (NSG) to do their job you don't know more than them do you?

Suk on it troll.

Professionals? Yeah I have the seen the professional capabilty of the NSG on 26/11. If you read the link and the comments, it would open your open eyes CONGRESS SUPPORTER>.

You talk about post 26/11. how about before and on 26/11? Oh right, it will take what you wrote and shred it to parts. I 'll take the words of Americans who have an extreme gun culture than the likes of you

Lack of time at a gun range was never an issue. The NSG operators are some of the best trained and most capable intervention operators in the world and an MP-5 in their hands is deadly, on an average training day they will go through over 200 rounds of ammo and they train for the "double tap" i.e. 2 rounds to the head and they are experts at this. There is one training procedure the NSG and all other Indian SOFs do and that is they have a target at 50m-70ms with their team-mate standing right next to it. The Shooter has to hit the target at that range with the margin for error being zero for obvious reasons.

Now obviously being a professional force the NSG have analysed what went wrong on 26/11 and taken steps to address these issues but very few of the issues were related to a lack of training or time at the gun range but issues to do with a lack of certain specialised or even basic equipment not to mention not having access to a a/c for a long period of time, a lack of blueprints etc etc

Almost every issues raised by 26/11 has been addressed to date, I can put my hand on my heart and say that.

Bro you've pointed it out yourself, this is an unanswerable question. Anyway the NSG can't be compared to the Military SOFs- Garuds, MARCOs or PARA (SF) as the NSG isn't a SOF but a specialist intervention/CT unit under civilian control (MHA).

As such the scope of the NSG's capabilities, training and mandate is very narrow and focused i.e. Hostage Rescue, CQB, CI etc whereas the true SOFs of India have a much broader training regime. Then to compare the respective SOFs (Garuds, MARCOs and PARA (SF) ) is an almost impossible task it really is because of the different nature of their roles and employment, differences in deployments and experience levels and their respective duties. It's like having a DELTA vs DEVGRU debate, you can't categorically say which is better.

Anywho, what is clear is that India has some of the finest SOFs and specialist intervention units around.

Bullshit. Not every issue has been addressed. Finest SOF units in the world base don what parameters? Tooting your own horn I see. Posting a few pics of them in their best gear is bullocks. Its a photo op.....not real life. 26/11 we saw the real life situation of the NSG. Pathetic.....and don't you and other ever forget it. This could have been avoided but Congress supporters like you are the reason why. Israel has to help train us to improve our standards which they are. Sad but true. At least, next time they will be better prepped and ready.

There are multiple issues at play that reveals how sad our security appartus is down to the police. Flying blind won't get you anywhere.

What is wrong with you? I can't even be bothered to discuss this with you. I know what I'm talking about- you don't.

Congress suporter? Yeah sure.

Photo-op? Riiiiight. This was a real-world deployment fool.

AR 70/90 (5.56 X 45 mm)

9mm = shorter range 50 - 100 ms less lethal
7.62 = longer range 300 - 400 ms deadly
its all depends upon the type of ops..

The context involves close combat or urban combat for which this is pertaining to.

Bull. Almost every pic you posted is a photo op...who the f-k are you kidding? Yourself?

You don't know shit. Just as much as any one else. What makes you a f-king expert? Are you NSG now?

Damn Gongress supporter....your previous posts on other threads expose your support. Butt hurt much?

You have no clue what you are talking about.... do you know what caused the 26/11 attacks to become such a massacre? Do you know that over 90% of the deaths happened BEFORE the NSG arrived? Do you know that 9 out of the 10 terrorists were killed by them and hundreds of civilians rescued by the NSG?

But no, the only BS you can come up with is some political BS and the biggest crap I ve read on this forum:

"The Mumbai attacks were a disaster because terrorists had MP5s and the NSG had AK 47s"

Get some basic education about the matter and come back.

YOu just proved you have no clue. Why did the NSG arrive so late? NSG had no maps of the buildings? This shows there is no fundamental strategy on tackling urban terror in India. Any department of buildings in the world should have blueprints of any building. This should be easily accessible so in case of a terror attack such as 26/11, nobody is flying blind.

Now you can get some basic primary level education and come back
