It would be safe to say, China now needs to clean up manufacturing for quality of factories rather than numbers. The use of making useless products that flood the market with low demand should come to an end.
Simply, no more dollar stores. Its time to clean up the environment in China. Manufacturing is almost matured in some sectors but needs a revamp to protect the environment and labor force. In the mean time, India and Africa can fill in the gab where possible.

It's not possible or they won't allow it to happen. Let me ask you a question. If the price of Chinese mobile is same as Branded mobiles like I phones or Sony which one will you buy ? Ok let's say the Chinese decided to improve their products quality . Then they have to increase the price when they increase the price of high quality products they have to cut their workforce to a affordable quantity. Which will create unemployment as majority of Chinese survives from these cheep goods produced in a small place etc. So now the selection also be like on basis of education , qualifications etc. Now this will also create another problem to increase their wages . So what will happen ? The price of cheap Chinese ripoff will cost a ton when the quality is still below the international standards .

Moral of the story : They can't increase wage and Now all these workers want a good wage or increased wage . Or Chinese can stop supplying their goods as all these business are heavily funded by Chinese Bank Loans. From any point of view now this is messed up .

that's not corruption, that's just the way Chinese government works. It's stupid and most times counter productive, but without elections, the politicians needs to present their resumes to the public and to higher brass. They can't get by with slogans, they need to make things happen, or someone else will take their place.

Not to say this is good or bad overall, it certainly has elements of bad, but it does work.
