@Irfan Baloch ; that was the wonder of the area then, with manual labor and quite simple tools beautiful structures were built.... whether this temple complex at Palitana or the Taj Mahal in Agra. In my view, the intricacies of the work-manship (bareekian) leaves me more impressed that the stupendous scale of the Pyramids (for example) which I've also seen at close quarters.
No w take a look at the Kailash Temple in Ellora carved out of a single rock monolith where approx 400,000 tons of rock were carved out over 10 generations of workers. And they worked their way down into the rock-face of that single huge rock to do so. It boggles the mind how it was designed, how the designed was passed down and understood by all the generations, during that century or more of the time that the construction took.....
