India’s covert nuke plant to ‘assert regional leadership’

Thats funny, regardless of your "allies", the fact remains that within South Asia, India has most of the control. Be it on Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.
Also, the enmity with China is exaggerated, China has billions of investment in India and much more on the way, almost impossible that they would risk losing that.
And arming a country that is encircled by us is very unrealistic.

Open your f-king eyes...there is no exaggeration. China has been hammering us down from day one. Chinese Investments mean nothing. It is insignificant and we are lucky because of that. Otherwise, we would be in a precarious situation like the US.

Great, More Muslim nuclear powers - Do nuclearize your former Muslim masters ;)

Masters? By that yardstick, they are your masters too!

More muslim nuclear powers? It is really sickening to bring religion into everything.

That is if India doesn't quit its little hegemon aspirations. We will not allow India especially the one ruled by fanatic hindutvas to project power at wil.

Just what exactly are "India's little hegemon aspirations" ? Because India just doesn't let go off Kashmir, much to your chagrin? Or because India still stands united as a geographical entity while Pakistan came off at the seams in less than 25 years of its independence? Would you be stop calling it hegemonic if India totally disbands its defense forces, just rolls over and dies?

Just who exactly are "you" to allow/disallow whatever democratically elected government allegedly (not proven, mind you!!!) does in its territories?

The irony of your statement is that it is you, sounding hegemonic all over by stating what a much bigger neighbor should do or not do! It is a different matter whether it is in your power to enforce it or not.

When modi called the SAARC countries state heads in swear in ceremony and they all came and stood in line to meet and greet modi. It showed the whole world who is the boss in the south east Asia. India is a regional power by all means. On the other hand Pakistan is a failed state.

When an Emperor was coronated, it would be a grand spectate. All those that came to the ceremony came in support of the Emperor, they submitted to his authority and that he had dominion over them. That was what Modi intended when the SAARC countries came and that was how it was perceived by all.

This is a Pakistani centric news item. It is possible that Pakistan may have played a role in providing information to the think tanks.

China is supply nuclear reactor and called it add on to the original agreement. It was a clever move to boost Pakistan's Plutonium production albeit atom bomb making capability. They already have bombs either exceed India or at par with India. They are one seventh the Indian size and one tenth in economic prowess.

Under the circumstances, what should India do. Do something which will over awe the Pakistanis. India has tested thermoNuclear device. Now it is time to build one.

It will take Pakistan ten years to catch up, until then, if they are still around, build something else. But do not let them be at par or exceed India in any respect. They would use this point to boost public morale and a bargaining chip.

Relax.
These think tanks can only :blah::blah::blah:
When we tried to get NSG approval they went crazy.
Guess what , the rules were bent for us and only for us :agree::agree::agree::agree:
We have a habit of judging India by our experience in india( bad railways, sh*tty roads, crappy etiquettes )
But the people out there working for India (diplomats , diaspora etc. ) are not that bad ( not that good either but you get the drift:D)
