The Soviet Union refused to supply R-12 (its code name in the West was SS-4) because, as a rule, it did not transfer state-of-the-art weapons to allies before its own deployment of at least two more advanced systems. This did not deter the Chinese from obtaining the technology even if it had to be done in an underhand manner. Chinese students studying at the Aviation Institute, Moscow, had acquired a rudimentary knowledge of the missile. This provided the basis for the dongfeng (East Wind) DF-1 missile.

Those students learned more about R-5 because it was included in their courses and was displayed during the October 1957 parade in the Red Square. They copied restricted data and notes and questioned Soviet experts in order to extract vital information about the missile. It was not on the authorised list of sales to China because the Soviet Rocket Forces had deployed its follow-on model, the R-7 that had launched the Soviet Sputnik on October 4, 1957.

Does your insolence note the difference which the placement of the prefix makes to the meaning of the overall sentence, or is proper English too advanced to incorporate with the Indian-English they teach you in Bihar. In addition to being an affront to basic sentence construction, and therefore being vague and partially unintelligible, you’ve failed to use an apostrophe in ‘world’s’ and have poorly decided that solid rocket booster is a proper noun and therefore the first letter should be capitalized.

The correct sentence, taking from the clarification you made where you’ve rightfully denied claiming India is a developed country, should read, “We have developed the world’s third largest solid-fuel rocket booster.”

The reason you have to put up with this simple lesson in grammar here on PDF, now, is because you either slept through Grade 5 (assuming you have a formal education) or have utter disregard for the amount of sense your posts make. I am willing to accept it’s the latter because judging from your other posts you diligently mesh together generalized copypasta in a seemingly successful attempt to (i) respond for the sake of responding; (ii) come off as a defender of India on PDF; and (iii) get Thanks for your profile, all three of which you do with impunity and without regard for sense. we never hide any foreign assistance in any defence items. we had many defence items manufactured with foreign help and it doesn't mean all the defence items of india is made with foreign help. INS vikrant is designed with the help of Italian designers. some are JV with foreign countries. a large number are indigenously designed, developed and produced.
