India's Air Force Has No Shortage of Shortfalls

According to your army, but I wouldn't take their word so seriously considering they claim you conducted strikes within Pakistan.

yeah whatever floats your boat.. why you guys claim numbers without thinking for a moment.

He's not making things up, he's completely right. Some basic history knowledge would tell you that.

Guys this was a simple report on IAF inventory shortage, how comes Pakistan in it as discussion?
Slum thinking ... lol

We can not ignore world's biggest slum..

Bogus...
All older gen aircrafts are being retired..MKIs are enough to take down whole JF & F16 inventory..Lets not talk about Rafales.

Not big or small slums in the world I just said Slum thinking which can be represented by a small slum resident (may be you as you felt the hit) as well
got my point? lol

again it is a topic of IAF inventory shortage, why necessarily Pakistan is part of discussion anyways
as simple as that

you are trying so hard to make your point mate but seriously look at the comment section it's not Pakistani after the main post

:blah:
We might be forced to, depending on how much land you would manage to snatch.
And 60 Indian soldiers.

Oh at least you admit we have the capacity to snatch land. You will appreciate that like anyother modern and professional Army, Indian Armed forces know how to kill and how to sacrifice its life for the country. BTW USSR disintegrated without firing even single Nuke, USSR could not even blame USA. And Ukrainians their own brethren are at war with Russians for one reason or the another.
Nukes dont help integrate your country but economy does. But Pakistan wants to compete with India on Armed Forces not on Economy.
Today India is at Hundreds of times better efficiency. Indian Govt. officials give their attendance by electronic systems. India is no more a country of 80s and 90s where a movie used to take 2-3 years to make now we make movies in 40-50 days. Indian PM calls up a DC of a remote area of NE, in night at 10 to get the damaged National Highway mended on priority. The decision to cancel the deal for 126 Rafales and to buy just 36, because french were playing game, was taken very quickly.
So we are not in a position to say what will India put up in its AF for coming decade.

what kinda of history you are talking about? 1million army vs 70000 army.. at the end 90000 people were taken as prisoners from 70000 ?

Only 50,000 were troops, another 20,000 were police and the other 20,000 were civilians. Do your research.

Keep yapping.

Whatever, but didn't the safety of East lie in West ??
Why Pakistani Army operations failed in West to protect East, Pakistan despite support of PAF being technically superior to IAF. Had PA reached Delhi then with US support they could have avoided East Pakistan becoming BD by giving more autonomy to BD.
IAF supported IA well in last wars. BTW IAF is today technically more advanced than PAF today.
But this is digressing from topic. The report is stupid factually incorrect.

You are spot on,however he will not agree that PA and PAF has failed on western front also in 71 for eg Battle of Longewala,Barapind etc.

India's Air Force Has No Shortage of Shortfalls
February 17, 2017 | 19:20 GMT

The combination of funding, acquisition and industrial problems are clouding what should be a bright defense outlook for India — with real-world consequences for the structure of its military force. For instance, the air force has a standing requirement for 42 squadrons each comprising about 18 combat aircraft, but it currently has fewer than 33 such squadrons. This number is expected to shrink to 22 by 2032. The declining number of combat aircraft is being driven by two factors. The first is the age of the fleet, with a high number of combat aircraft, including the MiG-21 and MiG-27, due to be retired in upcoming years. The second stems from the laborious process of procuring replacement aircraft. The 2001 tender for the Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA), for instance, was originally intended to yield 126 fighter aircraft. By 2016, however, only 36 French Rafale jets had been ordered.

Procurement problems have also extended to the availability of spare parts. India's premier combat aircraft, the Su-30MKI, continues to suffer low serviceability rate — the share of the fleet available at any particular time — largely because of shortages of spare parts. The Indian air force has only recently managed to boost Su-30MKI readiness from 46 percent to around 63 percent. The military hopes that a prospective agreement with Russia facilitating production of spares in India will enable it to reach its serviceability rate goal of 75 percent in the coming years.

And the limitations of the Indian domestic arms industry are perhaps best highlighted by the effort to develop the Tejas light combat aircraft, a priority for an Indian military. The aircraft, developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd., is already decades behind schedule and still not fully developed. Moreover, despite a significant effort to maximize indigenous components on the fighter, the key combat systems of the aircraft are of foreign origin. These include a U.S.-made engine, a Russian gun, an Israeli radar and a British ejection seat. Such obstacles will continue to hamper the future of Indian military modernization as it progresses through its period of growth and transition.
