Indians taking over...

I thought this website was about Pakistan's defence, but it has a topic about India's defence, which in # of posts is the third largest topic!

I think that somebody should do something about this rapid influx of Indian influence in this website... A good first step (in my opinion) would be to inhibit access or to simply remove the "Indian Defence" topic from the website!

I don't recall seeing any Indian Defence forums that have anything related to "Pakistan's Defence"

Also some Indians are spreading loads of massive misinformation! These comments should be monitored! I understand that freedom of speech is necessary, but when an Indian is spreading lies, propaganda, and misinformation, this needs to be stopped!

I have also noticed a lot of immature Indians here who would much rather use ad hominem attacks, instead of talk about the issues being discussed. These people are only causing problems for this forum!

Sometimes it seems the forum has been hijacked. They are larger in number. Also I have noticed some other prominent forums have similarly been affected by their sheer presence. Well I have no problem if anyone wants to have a constructive discussion. But trolling and spamming must be restricted. I think, the forum does not have sufficient mods at this moment. Anyway, this issue can be addressed by the mods only. I am just sharing my opinion.

We realize that the Indians will have a lot more projects and acquisitions to talk about, given the larger resources available to their military and the fact that their military and R&D institutions are not as obsessed with secrecy as ours (take Pshamim's disclosure of the PAF's BVRAAM for example).

However, we have the ID section not so Pakistani members can spam there or get green eyed with envy, but so that we have a limited means of being better informed and understanding India's capabilities etc.

Inevitably discussions on the Pakistani military's capabilities result in a question about how they stack up against the Indian military - well, that is what the ID section is for.

I think it is a useful tool (though by no means comprehensive) for understanding the 'enemy' if you will.

It is up to you as an informed poster to stop it. You can't live in a cocoon on this forum and ban some of the Indians from speaking and imagine that the disinformation will stop.

If there is disinformation then correct it, use whatever sources you can dig up - links, books etc.

That is what we would love for more of the Pakistani posters to do - instead of flying into a rage over an incorrect claim by an Indian, show it to be incorrect, with civility. That is how you counter disinformation.

If a poster persists with that disinformation despite being corrected, then we will ban him/her for trolling.

Of course their are exceptions, such as arguments over Kashmir etc, where the two sides will never see eye to eye, and we won't hold that against the Indians so long as the exchanges remain civil and stick to the facts on either side.

Please report them - we are short on mods for now and reported posts are slipping through, but we will eventually get to them and infractions and bans will be given if ad hominems and trolling behavior does not stop.

I just banned 3 people this morning for example (only 1 Indian though ).

In conclusion, this forum provides a platform for Pakistanis to project their side of the story, and others to counter it. As a Pakistani, who wants to participate on the forum, it is your responsibility to correct disinformation and project the Pakistani POV with civility.

Come on guys...no Indian is hijacking forum here.
Its beauty of this forum which attract Indians.(which again credit goes to site staff) Be humble,respectful,show your knowledge in your written lines, you will see more people of other nationalities.But i would say all Indian in this forum as of today are mature writers with the excellent capability of engaging others in good argument. Otherwise nobody wants PDF or BharatR type of forum environment .....do you ???....

Friend...If you didnt have any Indians on this forum....would a debate even be as enticing or even a debate?? I mean if you just want a pat on your back for every comment and just get a one sided view of life and events, then your situation will be nothing more than a "Frog in a well"!!

I for one like a healhty argument...and frankly I prefer being the underdog....one of the reasons why Im on this forum!!!!

Over time I have concluded that many Indians are Pakistan-obsessed.

The majority of Indians on this site are definitely Pakistan-Obsessed. Why else would so many of them be here; trying to undermine Pakistan, its people and faith whenever the opportunity arises?

I'm less patient or polite than Agnostic M. and it really pisses me off to see this question ever other month!

This is an international forum, anyone is welcome. We're totally in a different league than all the other fora all together, what we've done here is unparalelled in the cyberworld so why compare it with an average Pakistani or Indian forum?

Misinformation or propaganda can be countered, thats what we do at a forum. Refute it and prove it wrong instead of compaining.

One of the great things about this forum is that its very diverse. I like reading different views from people of different backgrounds. Unlike in Indian forums (which are all full of hate for Pakistanis) there's people who are active in this forum from all different countries like China, U.S., U.K., Turkey, Russia, I even noticed some people commenting from Iran and UAE in this forum.

However, it doesn't take a genius to figure out how Indians feel about Pakistan and Pakistanis...you can clearly see the negative comments coming from Indian members about Pakistan and Pakistanis. There's a few Indian members here that are alright.

Ooops thatz a bottle neck view man. Its funny that i was thinking just opposite of what u said. How about adding Indian and Bangladeshi flag smileys to this forum becuase of the large number of memebers from those areas. We already have US, Pakistan and China flags, i think it would make sense to add Indian and Bangladeshi flags. Cheers!!
