Don't bring Pakistan and China in this thread, this is our problem and the justice system is there to deal with it. Cases like these happened before and the perpetrators were sentenced to life. The best way is to teach these people about the importance of women in society.

We can't judge India for one incident.That does not represent the whole nation.
btw,this act was very common between Arabs in Pre-Islamic era where they buried baby girls alive and killed the mothers sometimes.But it ended after Islam.

Sir in my view democracy does not work for a country like India, you may remember the India Shining campaign by the BJP we all know how that worked out. The biggest issue is i can't repeat enough education, education and more education there are schools in India where the teacher does not even show up to class as they just can't be bothered so what hope is there for the youth of the future?

These were outlawed years ago, and rarely happen in villages where there is little to no law enforcement. It usually happen in villages that have rural laws and follow the old tradition.

Let me further elaborate that Sati Practice was outlawed because of movement led by Raja Rammohan Roy who is still considered as one of the most respected social reformers among Hindus. And whatever Sati cases may emerges today, that is mostly the suicide but not forced one and happens in rare of rarest cases.
