What's new

Indian Telecom Ministry bans all Chinese Deals and Equipment

VN is also poor country, but lots of VNese use Samsung, Iphone and used Samsung, used Iphone.

used Samsung, used Iphone r every cheap in VN, just 150 usd for used Iphone 6, Samsung Galaxy A11
I bought a new Samsung M31, which is about $220. It is pretty good.

So what? I have already said India receives more money from Japan led ADB, EU led IMF or US led world bank. What is so special about this loan that we have to bend backwards for China? So why didn't China veto this loan?
Did I ask who lends more money? You are rambling random stuff as excuse now.

Lol, India has nothing to loose,
When was last time you read a decent financial magazine
China have trade surplus of more than 69BN USD over India, they are burning their hand.
India just export products worth which just 13 BN & most of them are transferrable & Agricultural, We can sell them to someone else. And for our economy it's just tiny thing.
We are also grabbing Chinese market in Africa & China gifted us the same by abusing Africans.
Now Bajaj & TVS are Automobile leaders in Africa.
India has much to lose, much of the infrastructure projects are planned through Chinese backed banks loans. Many of these require Chinese expertise in construction,Indian manufacturing industry imports most of their supplies from china,Indian economy is also driven by Chinese investment in many aspects, made in India goal is mostly dependent on Chinese firms making stuff in India.

Which African market is India chipping away from China?
China is involved in totally different realm of investment when it comes to Africa, their investment are not aimed at selling machines to african but aimed at having stake at a much bigger scale in the continent.
China was never competing in Two-wheeler market in Nigeria,Tanzania. China mostly exported some motorbikes to Africa through ports. China never bothered setting up mass factories for motorcycles in africa, the profit wasn't worth it.
So ,idk how can India chip away Chinese market share in Africa,Indian media has been gloating about Bajaj & TVS beating Chinese motorbikes in nigeria when chinese bikes wasn't even competing in Africa.Even BAJAJ has set up factory in China for export btw.

Infrastructure & China?
Can u list certain critical Indian projects handled by china?
We have infratech Giants like L&T, Tata & Afcons.
Why we need Chinese? Just because they are manipulating contract bid by using Chinese Govt. Funds.
And India doesn't take loans at 8, 10 & 14% rates.
If you talking about projevts Like their Hi-speed trains, which derail & kill people every month.
Why would we need China when we have superior Japanese & Korean tech?
They were begging for bullet project & their bid was less than 2/3 of Japan but we awarded it Japan.
India doesn't China, China needs India to sell their cheap electronics, which is now even Africans are refusing to buy.

Chinies will reverse this decesion once they capture dehli. the way things are going, i'd say in couple of months?

Even 2 days ago ,A Rs 1,126 cr project was handled to Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co. (STEC) by GOI .
You can't seriously compare Indian to Chinese in those regards.

Indian Railway engineers are getting trained in China in heavy hauling to learn trade skills.
India sought China's help for speeding-up of Bangalore-Chennai train corridor and redevelopment of Agra and Jhansi railway stations.
Japan has offered to finance the bullet train at an estimated to cost $15 billion, at an interest rate of less than 1 per cent, which gave japan a huge edge against China, which didn't offer any such and projected almost twice the cost,Japan was getting desperate after losing contracts to china in South East Asia so.

China needs India to sell their cheap electronics,
Whatever Chinese electronics that sells in India doesn't even make 1% of chinese GDP.
India can't afford most decent chinese products,China has to go out of the way to reconfigure stuff to make it affordable for Indian. Chinese products are now mainly aimed at EU,America, and East Asia not India or Africa.

I jusy got job in Luxshare wt 430 usd per month.

According to some people recruited recently by Luxshare ICT, they are being trained to assemble wireless headphones and smart watches. The products they assemble "look like Airpods and Apple Watches," they’ve said.

Luxshare ICT workers are promised monthly incomes of between VND9-14 million ($385-599), which includes a basic salary of VND4.8 million ($205) and allowances for housing, meals and overtime. According to workers already hired, they get about VND10 million ($428) per month on average

So you're like a human robot that just moves their hands according to other people's orders. You get paid the absolute minimum possible because your work is easily replaced. All the profits from your work flows to Luxshare owners in China.

Sucks for India considering alternative options are at least 2-3 times more expensive than what India was getting from china.

China did not become manufacturing hub in a day.nothing is practically possible over night .but it's a start .it's good for local manufacturing.
After the covid 19 things have changed a lot if you have not noticed ,even 6 year nephews looks scared when I tell him the toy he is playing is made in China .

Lol, Tunnel contract they Got by manipulating the bid price, Now L&T will complete same Project at cost of just 50Cr more than chinese company.
And China is training Indian Engineers, Really?

You dont have to pay more, bro. Samsung have many kinds cheap phones, TCL TV in VN is as cheap as the one in CN. Same price for Panasonic, LG, Media , airpod stuff manufacturing in VN.

Just Simply ban Xiaomi, Vivo, TCL,Lenovo stuff manufacturing in CN. Those stuff have same price when manufacturing in VN

Since electronics development need more time and effort .Surely our business will go to Vitenam and other Asean nations

Where did you get that?

Not just Indians are trying to learn from chinese, your L&T is constantly using Chinese companies collaboration to land orders in India
.Mumbai, November 19, Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) in association with Shanghai Urban Construction (Group) Corporation has secured a Design & Build contract valued at Rs.275 crore from Delhi Metro Railway Corporation Limited (DMRC). The contract is for the construction of 2.4km of Underground Twin Tunnel starting from the IGI Airport Station to Dwarka Sector-21 in the Airport Metro Express Line of the Phase II of DMRC Project.
What world are you still living in?

The objective is to reduce the import of Chinese finished goods by $13 billion or about Rs 1 lakh crore by December 2021, CAIT said.

Only $13 billion out of $60 billion? Seems that the Indians aren't patriotic enough to give up on their Chinese-made smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other Internet accessories. Not to mention that there will be a flourishing black market for these cheap Chinese goods, as usual. Via Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh, of course.
@rott

Just when are the crazy Indians going to tear down this ugly Chinese-built statue? The Sanghis can use the scrap metal to stitch brass underwears similar to Game of Thrones characters. :cheesy:
