Indian Teacher In Doha Forced To Quit Over PM Modi Cartoon

When Indian Embassy will forward complain to private school, what you think school management will ignore it?

And why you are calling @gslv in every post, kis baat se daar lag raha hai. :pop:

Whats wrong in Embassy forwarding it ?

By extension issues between violator and the victim are strictly between former and latter, why do people go out to street for justice? Logic can be extended and applied to too many situation. Moreover, considering your statement true, media outlets should be closed for good - no point reporting news if the matter is strictly between parties.

Still not justified even if the issue is between her and management. Why did the management responded on the complaints of parents? Issue was between her and Shri Modi, right?

In that case, as an act of humanity and justice we should see a protest in lahore?

Exemplary freedom of expression by flag bearers of world's largest democracy. :enjoy:

The incident was happened in Doha .Not in India.I dont know about the democracy in Doha .
And freedom.of expression is not a license to insult other personalities ir religion etc.

Why not? The concept ain't something unheard of in Pakistan! Protest or mass protest isn't a prerequisite to get justice, is it?. If I don't go out to streets to register my contempt doesn't mean I see the matter being protested justified. One should at least have the guts of calling spade a spade.

It's a pity that a teacher was forced to relinquish for no reason and we are hiding behind red herring.

Prove it justified else stop quoting me, thank you.

Unbelievable. Something happens in Qatar; AAPies use it as political tool against Modi in India. Un-fricking-believable.

.
Just came to know......It was below the belt.......and a very offensive one......

The reason should have been disciplinary action. Did you get to see and read?

As per the news, according to the management, she violated company rules. During hiring she must have agreed to the conditions of and laws of the company. That is modern day corporate world. On that basis she was suspended.

these are the comments of Edu min. : The ethics code, which the Education Minister said is “derived from the doctrine of the Qatari society and philosophy,” involves respecting Islamic values and national customs and traditions.

I'm not a muslim, so you may know better what Islamic values did she not abide by.

There are many cases where labour class coming from India and Pakistan is harassed in Middle east , we do not see any protest in either of the the countries. Many non muslims are tried under Islamic laws, how far that is justified is also a question.

If someone is expecting we Indians to say #gomodigo in a foreign country, thats not gonna happen :-)

There's no such news about the alleged violation of the set of the rules contended in contract. You violate your contract, you're literally gone, management by all means is at liberty to award you termination letter. This is the real modern day corporate world for you, asking violator to submit doesn't belong in here.

News in circulation is - she was suspended for three days pending inquiry by the management and then was asked to put in her papers. The reason management presented was more moral and less legal " a teacher shouldn't post such caricature, a teacher is a role model and stuff "

The issue on hand has more to do with Indian expats and less to do with Qatari values. It's the expats who registered complaint before school management and Indian embassy, Qatari authorities are nowhere to be seen in it. She was forced to quit for making a caricature of Indian PM, not for challenging Qatari ethic codes. Moreover, it's only the Qatari court which can determine whether values prescribed were violated or not. This argument of yours in short is not applicable here, if you still think it is then the action at the part of school management is totally illegal, for the management by law isn't at liberty to judge on the behalf of Qatari court.

Now where do we stick. to corporate world or Qatari values?

If she was fired then it would be illegal, she has resigned from the job on her will. If she was still in suspension that would be illegal. Justice can be granted on the basis of wrong 'suspension' and forced resignation. But for that there should be a trial according to Qatar court of law. And India is no where involved in that. Yes, there could be settlements at personal level though.
