The hands isnt the problem....Even South East Asians eat with their hands...it is how they stuff it and chew with 55% of the mouth open so that person across can see the food in the mouth....

Well, eating is a cultural thing. I find most of the chinese dishes somewhat nauseating. The ones popular in the subcontinent are Indianized version.

We eat rice and curry with our hands as well but according to the Bangladeshi etiquette, your palm can't touch the food and you should only use the upper half of your fingers. And most importantly, you can only eat with your right hand.
