Present and Future Missiles of India

Surface to Surface Strategic Missiles
(Some of them can be launched/target Ship)
0-1km Guns/Snipers/Grenades/RPG
1-100km Various Rockets/Missiles like Pinaka MRBL's
50 - 150 km Pahaar
100 - 150km Prithvi I
100 - 300km Brahmos I
150 - 350km Prithvi II
250 - 350km Prithvi III
200 - 600km Brahmos II
500 - 750km Agni I
300 - 750km Shourya
300 - 750km Sagarika
300-1,000km Nirbhay
300-1,000km LRCM
700 - 2,000km Shourya (II)
2,000 - 2,500km Agni II
2,500 - 3,500km Agni IIp
3,000 - 5,500km Agni III
2,000-3,500km K4
5,000 - 8,000km Agni V
8,000 - 10,000km Agni VI
5,000-12,000km Surya I
10,000-16,000km Surya II

Fact:
->Su30mki Gives Brahmos I a range of 2,300 kms
Stage I : It moves at Mach 2 for 2,000km
Stage II: It moves at Mach 3 for 300km(for 3 missiles, nuclear capable)

In May 2008 Indian scientists announced they had developed and patented a path-breaking technology that increases the range of missiles and satellite launch vehicles by at least 40%.The enhanced range is made possible by adding a special-purpose coating of chromium based material to a rocket's blunt nose cone. The material acts as a reactive-ablative coating that forms a thin low density gaseous layer at the tip of the rocket as it approaches hypersonic speeds; this super-heated gas layer reduces drag by 47% (at mach 7-8), thereby allowing range enhancements at least 40%. It has been announced that this technology will be incorporated in future Agni deployments after having undergone ranging and calibration tests.

Other Gamechanging Surface/Ship/Submarine/Aircraft based missiles
Aakash SAM
S series SAM
Novator Long range Air to Air missile
R series from Russia
Kh series from Russia
Indigenous K series missiles
Scalp/Storm Shadow missiles for MRCA
French missiles like MICA
Russian Nuclear capable missiles like Moskit,Ametist,Yakhont,Popeye..

Range of Indian Aircrafts(Combat Radius)
Jaguar 850km
Su30mki 2,000km
MRCA 1,800km
LCA 800km
Mig29SMT 1,200km
Mirage 2000H 750km
FGFA 2,000km
AMCA 1,000km
Helicopters 300-400km
Lakshya 150km
Rustom H 350km
Harpy 500km
Heron 350km

Naval Aviation

INS Vikramaditya 1,500km in a day
Mig29k 1,200km
P8-I Neptune 2,000km for Anti Sub operations
Tu-142 6,500km
Tu-22M 2,500km

Harriers of IN and Mig21 of IAF can be neglected as they will be retired soon.

Note the ranges depends on fuel:weapon load ratio

India prefers aircrafts over missiles.

Mostly for mass striking targets between 500-2,000km MRCA is prefered and Su30mki(/) Super will be used for air superiority.
For striking targets between 10-500km LCA,Mirage Upg,Mig29SMT,Jaguar(/AMCA) will be used.
For later ranges, heavy versions of Agni are used .

Huh? Where did you get this from? I thought the operational range for the BrahMos is 290 km? And one of the reasons for limiting the range to 290km was to conform to stipulations of the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR) of which Russia is a signatory. The regime forbids export of any missile with a range in excess of 300 km. The export market was kept in mind for this missile.

If in non sea skimming mode, the range would be some what higher . 290 is official figure . By the way combat radius of mki can be made to 2000km

Naval Aviation is a doubt

INS Vikramaditya 1,500km in a day it can travel at 25 knt an hr so 25*24=600 knts approx 1100 KM
Mig29k 1,200km
P8-I Neptune 2,000km for Anti Sub operations
Tu-142 6,500km (Not in active Duty)
Tu-22M 2,500km ((Not in active Duty)

We are getting upgraded Gorkshov and its efficiency has been increased .
The speed of Vikramaditya will be 60kmph =32 knots so nearly 1,500km
These Tupelovs are still in service but we have few no's , we are replacing them and we have leased 4 Tu22's.
There are claims that we have more Tu's (i cant provide source)
Tu's have capability to carry Brahmos and other anti ship cruise missiles.

Tu 142 is in active duty and who says we are gonna replace them? The only thing that is gonna happen is that they wont be our primary ASW that is all. The IN has other plans for Tu 142.
About the Tu 22 I doubt but I am sure that they are not with Navy.
