Indian shelling damages several houses

right, so considering india to be seller, what can pakistan bring to sweeten the deal. pakistan needs to prove status quo is worse than a deal.

sure.

pakistan should propose drastic demilitarization of both pakistan and india, and the subsequent redirection of resources towards truly developing these two nations... this, pakistan will propose in two ways which i will put at the risk of sounding repetitive...

1. replacement of the two militaries on the border with uno/sco peace-keepers... if those soldiers are demobilized and put into civilian life, so much governmental burden is reduced and the resources redirected.

2. propose a visa-free city in india where anyone in the world can come and set up businesses and non-profit organizations, especially from pakistan... there was such a zone plan for libya before 2011... perhaps one of the new townships in india being built by sahara group can be used ( :: Sahara City Homes :: ) or a new one built by them in a hill station.

3. proposal to resolve kashmir issue which is one of the main ones... the one true solution is this ( Al Gaddafi speaks - English / Kashmir: The Definitive Solution ) whose only aim is welfare of kashmiris, including the pandits... the solution rejects all reactionaries... and i have a thread by the same name, if you don't know already.

4. water sharing projects ( though i don't have much knowledge on india-pakistan border waters ).

without these simple solutions, both nations will keep shaking hands at borders and the occasional government-level gatherings, but never start towards peace.

broadly speaking both countries are trying to increase trade... currently only proposals which are mutually beneficial will be considered.
I give it to pakistani side that, cross border terror has completely stopped in kashmir. mufti is right.
