There might be two different reasons to elaborate, Either the MIG 29 K has been bought to keep the Naval strength to the top without its induction on aircraft carrier which has a possibility of justifying what you claimed, But if its made to be used not just on a conventional platform but on a real platform it so gives my View a chance to be debated... The govt can be loony if both of our views are wrong....

Mig29K already got upgraded ??/ They were just inducted .... Also they will be used on INS Vikramaditya and IAC1 and may be on old Viraat, not to mention we haven't purchased many...they will be operating on Vikramaditya by next year man, why did you thought it won't be used ??/

I wonder if India has any plan of building the nuclear supercarrier in the future.

there are speculations about it but no official stand yet..may be IAC3 but not until IAC2.
