India does not want peace with Pakistan. It want to take over all the Kashmir AND make Pakistan a puppet state and in constant terror infestation . It's best that all Pakistani realize this.

It's what India is suggesting now, take it or leave it but if the issue drags on like this and at same time India races far far ahead of Pakistan in every sphere including spreading of terrorism then I guess India would revise it's demand to access to Afghanistan via Kashmir. Think about that, dragging of issue will work in our favour only.

Below is what, I feel, a medium term problem.

One of the mainstays of Pakistani policy has been Kashmir. 3 declared wars, 1 undeclared war and a number of stand offs have taken place because of the same. Based on this policy a number of initiatives, by means of supporting varied organisations have taken place. Let us not get into how the support was provided. Because, of these the solution will give rise to problems in 4 areas.

Area 1 : Pakistan Administered Kashmir / Azad Kashmir
The people here need to be now told, that the 2 state theory holds. There is no scope for an independent Kashmir. They either become a part of Pakistan or migrate to India. There will be no change in geographies. This needs to be handled very carefully.

This will create two sets of people. The first set is happy a solution is found and either become happy Pakistani citizens or they decide to move to India and become Indian citizens. They integrate with their country of choice and live happily ever after. The second set, is the joker int he pack, If they are disgruntled with the solution, they will vent their frustrations via either joining a virulent extremist organisation like ISIS or they will create a situation which makes the situation untenable like the deaths during Partition. These groups are already pissed with India. Now, they will be even pissed with Pakistan. How will this be handled?

Area 2 : Indian Administered Kashmir / Jammu & Kashmir
Again, same sets of people. HC will need to be told to soften their stand and back down. Which, I think, can be achieved if India and Pakistan work together on this.

Area 3 : India
Indians will be happy. Believe me on this. Convert the LoC to IB. Get on with life. The fringe elements will have heated debates and shouting matches on tv. This is the maximum which will happen.

Area 4 : Pakistan
How will Pakistanis react to this? If the Kashmir problem is solved, what will all the organisations which are specifically anti India do? Solving Kashmir will ensure that the Pakistani state no longer has any use for them? I think, this isa very dangerous situation.

Would be nice to know what other members think and how they think this can be handled?

You can deal Pakistani army from the position of Strength only.

Only solution is to develop potent anti missile defence systems along with S-500 like missiles and punish Pakistan by librating whole Pakistan administered Kashmir and cutting it off from China if it carries on with it's terrorist attacks and destroy their GHQ and ISI headquarters too . You can't bring Pakistan on negation table until it feels venerable to India.
