Kolkata-Dhanbad freight corridor was conceived long back. Nothing has moved till date. This corridor is essential for the rapid development of those areas. A lot of potential lies there.

This could have happened long time ago had govt privatised railway sector, at least partially. Then again.. Indian Railways had always been the cash cow for corrupt politicians & babus. Otherwise why would we have separate ministry & a separate budget for railways? Even then... better late than never.
