Downing your jet is an actual great victory, because Pakistan was fighting on the defensive, outnumbered, took no losses, and captured a pilot. It serves as proof that Indians can only talk big, but have absolutely no courage nor competence to carry out their threats.

Losing a civil war while completely cut-off, 1000km away, and trying to fight an invasion while heavily outnumbered is not exactly a great defeat. Why couldnt you replicate that in West Pakistan, oh yeah because the only way you could get a victory is to have the odds heavily stacked in your favour.

24 jets, some of them armed with long range BVR missiles, against 8 jets armed with infrared homing missiles is hardly called outnumbered, but again, you will say anything to make yourself feel better. Following an F16 into hostile territory with an antiquated aircraft is called courage. Shooting down an antiquated jet using BVR from 80-100km away is not courage.

You guys haven't won a war, so you have to find happiness in the smaller things in life, like shooting down an antiquated aircraft that followed your plane into your territory. Population size means nothing. It's not like 1.3 billion Indians are all at the border fighting 200 million Pakistanis. Our forces are very evenly matched, the infantry size ratio is like 2:1 while for air force it's like 1.5:1, all while you have a land area 4 times smaller to defend. Also you have no big enemies on your western border, so you can concentrate most forces along Indian border, while we have to focus more on China.
