While one donates the official gifts to a public enterprise, other one used the same for her private enterprise!

New Delhi: Former President Pratibha Patil has returned all the gifts received by her in official capacity after they were displayed at a school owned by her family in Amravati in Maharashtra.

"155 gifts received by the former President, Pratibha Devisingh Patil in her official capacity were loaned to Vidya Bharati Shaikshanik Mandai, Amravati for display on a purely temporary basis," Rashtrapati Bhavan has said in an RTI reply.

In response to activist Subhash Agrawal, it said all the gift items which include candle set received from UK Prime Minister, a gold medallion and a silver medallion of Nelson Mandela, a gift box from China among others have been returned to Rashtrapati Bhavan on May 22.

"These were received back by the Deputy Director (Art), Rashtrapati Bhavan," it said, adding that no information on cost incurred on transportation is available on record.

It said the gifts were loaned to Vidya Bharati Shaikshanik Mandai, Amravati according to an MoU signed between Rashtrapati Bhavan and the institute.

The reply also said 36 artefacts were handed over to DRDO during the presidency of A P J Abdul Kalam for being displayed in the Brahmos Centre in New Delhi.

"All 36 items have been received back at Rashtrapati Bhavan on October 3, 2012," it said.

VIENNA: In a rare honour, two Eurofighter Typhoon combat jets escorted the Air India One aircraft carrying President Pratibha Patil as it entered the Austrian airspace.

Within seconds of entering the Austrian airspace from Switzerland on Tuesday, two gleaming jets appeared suddenly on the left side of the President's plane.

Those inside the presidential aircraft started shooting the jets in frenzy. But, only with their mobile phones and cameras.

The Eurofighters are one of the shortlisted contenders in the Indian MRCA tender to purchase 126 "Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft".

After about two minutes, one of the jets suddenly pulled back and flew to the other side of the aircraft. Everyone was just interested in getting the perfect shot of the plane which also opened its co-passenger shield as a mark of respect. The best view was just before landing as all three aircraft lost altitude and the jets were at an arm's length.

Idiots thought the air brakes were "co-pilot's shield!!!",that too as a mark of respect!!!!!
That too in single seaters!!!

Don't know about muslims in india but we treat our minorities with respect. Except some of people who try to convert them and they get highlighted. The same case can be in india too..
I am not saying that all the indians are bad or something like that. There is no land of pure. Every country has evil in it. The only different I see between indians and Pakistanis is that they think differently and they act differently. That's It!!
