Indian Police

Just a personal example - when I speak to a cop in the US, it is always on an 'equal' basis; I am neither afraid of him or her nor is he in any way trying to show authority over me.

It is an interaction between equals; indeed the cop is trying to be courteous at all times.

In India? Whenever I speak to a cop I do not know, I'm always thinking, "yeh %$%$@@ kabhi bi kuch bhi kar sakta hai; side se nikal le beta".

I always feel free to speak to a cop or go to a police station. There was a (muslim) guy nearby my house who had an intetional hatred towards my community (also muslim). One day my mother yelled at his children as they were jumping from trees. The intention of my mother was their safety as they could fell from trees and get hurt.

The guy walked in our house abused my mother with some bad words and thretened her when not a single man of our family was at home.

We complained at nearby Police Station, the guy was missing for 48 hours and when he returned he cried at the feet of my mother and continued apologies for some 45 minutes until we called his family who came and took him to his home.

48 hours before the guy was very abusive to my mother, 48 hours after (police hospitality) my mother was like his mother and I was just like his brother.

Shop of my relative in Surat was looted. 72 hours later thieves ended in Custody and my relative got 80% looted stuff back.

As far as faisla on the spot is concerned my younger brother was found in his car nearby seashore with his girl doing rommance. 2 slaps on both sides is what he got. When he came home he was like :cry:

There are lot of good experiences of many people which can be shared.

Hate to break it to you but I am American. I am of American Indian, French, and Irish decent. I have 6 years of military service (1980-1986). My army job specialty gave me an interest in Geo Political affairs. Which is why I enjoy discussing on this forum. I am not against India or Pakistan. I am against Islamic extremism. I see it as being much more dangerous then Lenin/Marxism was. World domination is/was the goal of both.

Pathetic spineless snivelling.

The Indians get mad at you for showing Indian faults so you try to appease them by bashing Muslims.

Truly tragic display of appeasement.

On the traffic light people here dont fear the courts they fear police walas because at the end of the day you will not be paying to Indian government but you will be paying to something.

And guess what once what happened in Bangalore I was with my friend and he was not having papers with him for the car. MAMU caught us and we were also not having cash also at that time. And guess what MaMu agreed upon "Sodexho Coupons"(They are food coupons)

I think soon we will have MaMu with credit card and debit card machines.

UN honour for Kerala Police Station :azn:

Professionalism, physical condition, community orientation, equal treatment of the public and transparency
and accuracy at detention centres.

Palakkad town’s South Police station scored 85 out of 100 in these five subjects to rank second in South East Asia’s best police station test, conducted by Netherlands based Altus Global, an accredited agency working for the UN. The top prize was taken by Malaysia’s Bhuthang Station. The palakkad town south police station has also been ranked as the second best police station in the whole of South East Asia, in a test conducted by the same agency.

With post graduates and PhD filling the constabulary, the State police is already one of the best qualified forces in the country.

Recently the Government have decided to deploy more women
constables and other officers at police stations to check their male counterparts. It has had the desired effect in checking unruly behaviors.
