Do you know what the world thinks of India now ?? - a poor country with 30% of the population BPL with massive corruption the system from inside, an almost dysfunctional bureaucracy and a party in power that will shamelessly utilise religious sentiments for staying in power (the last in the words of former US Ambassador to India).

I think it is way better if they think it is a saffron country rather than the above. And BTW what is the big deal in saffron ?? Insecurity perhaps ?

Well that is the beauty of saffron democracy. If the country does "fall to us" as it did in the past, you just assess our performance and if we Indian majority see that the saffron brigade isn't performing then we vote them out and bring in the "dog licking Italian" party. Very unlike the Pakistani system where an extremist either bombs and maims if they cannot get into power or once in power, refuses to leave if voted out. That constitutes a big difference and can be no comparison to Pakistan

You are just getting un-necessarily scared w/o any good reason. Perhpas I should not fault you alone for falling for the vote-catching boogeyman of Indian politics - Saffron politics.

Saffron does not say you exterminate either the green or white. It says we should all live in harmony and that tolerance is always a two way street and not a one-way.

How can u even compare it with pakistan.Both ideoligies are scripted on the differnt pattern.

There is a hell load of differnce between the twos.One teaches to alienate from the rest of the world on the other hand the other teaches harmony and integrity besides only this to be faithful towards your respective nationalism..

By 'falls to you guys', I meant ideologically, not politically. Many people, including me, would vote for Modi based on a development agenda, given his track record. Yet, I would never vote for him on a hardline ideological agenda.

I agree that there should be no pandering to minorities, but the opinions expressed on this thread take that too far. There should also be no DISCRIMINATION of minorities, on the basis of race (Italian Dog) etc.

Lets get this one fact straight. No religion preaches 'extermination' of other religions. No ideology is extremist on it's own.

Followers of an ideology become extremist/discriminatory when they start to believe that one group of people are better than others. I am not criticizing the 'Saffron' you are talking about, I'm criticizing the language that you are using to convey your views. How you guys are basically calling anyone 'anti-saffron' as a 'traitor' or using racist comments like 'Italian Dog'.

So control your emotions, and your language. Say what you have to say in a civilized manner.

India would always be a secular nation, and people of all religion would live here with dignity.

Bharat Swabhiman Andolan is not about hindus or muslims.
Plz dont get confused, that if some hindus support this movement that doesn't mean this is a Hindu based movement.
Even ulema and maulanas of several Muslim organizations are working full time to promote this movement.
And its time every patriotic Indian should start supporting Baba Ramdev and promote this mission.

Bharat Swabhiman Andolan is not about hindus or muslims.
Plz dont get confused, that if some hindus support this movement that doesn't mean this is a Hindu based movement.
Even ulema and maulanas of several Muslim organizations are working full time to promote this movement.
And its time every patriotic Indian should start supporting Baba Ramdev and promote this mission.

Thank you, I will take that into consideration the next time I vote. However, I must say, I vote on the basis of development I see around me, which is why I voted for Congress in 2009.
