here in america, landrovers used to be the uppity upper middle class soccer moms' & dads' suv of choice but ever since india's tata (what the heck where they thinking with this name) took over, the quality and hence, the sales have got down the drain...even indians don't wanna touch it with a yard stick!

One of my family member bought a Range Rover Evo. They are cursing it since day one as it is constantly having a poor battery. It was even bought brand new, also fuel efficiency is poorer than Mercedes or other German brands

Jaguar and Land Rover are good in name only. If you ever sit in one, you will puke. The quality compared to Mercedes and BMW is crap. Its plastic is grainy and hard like some hardware handle or some lumberjack tool. Its screens look cheap.

One of the mid model Jaguars, I dont remember XK or which one, was drive tested on carwow. Its arm support on left on the centre console was lower than the arm rest on the driver door. So the guy wanting to rest both arms on the rests will have one arm higher than the other.

I was very enthusiastic about buying a Land Rover. I did check it out. Its the same price as comparative BMW but in class and quality LR was far behind.
