Indian origin student wins Junior Nobel; 5 out of 10 Winners in the competition are of Indian origin

Talking about India sitting in Pakistan is hilarious. You don't even know how India looks like or how it operates. So don't assume things. And all I can say is you are wrong. If you have money going to US is not hard. 80% of student visas gets approved in India.

I have lived enough in Western and Middle Eastern countries and met more Indians from all walks of life than you might have imagined.

I know how it is.

Besides, how about all those Indian "experts" about Pakistan? How many of them have actually been to Pakistan?

Is that the reason why just 5% of Indians have applied and own a passport?

Common sense dictates that if 99.9% aspired to go abroad then the 99.9% would at least have thought of applying for a passport.

I stand by my statement, give Indian students a choice to opt for education in a Western country and 99,9% will take that in a blink of an eye.

It is completely irrelevant how many Indians currently hold a passport.

PS: Do remember that not all Indians are students. I am not sure about the average but I would think something like 35%?

.
hey at least they actually seem to deserve it, they usually just hand stuff like this out to jews willy-nilly to further the "contributions" of their religion

congrats anyway

Amen. And if you question them they cry "6 million".

Indians are 1.3 billion people. Every 5th person on this planet is an Indian. What you see in west is 0.1% of Indians.

From all major cities and almost all walks of lives.

Those who were extreme poor but somehow made it to a Western country (legally or illegaly).
Those who are from South India, North India, high caste, low caste... you name it.
Those who were very rich.
Those who spoke completely different languages, had completely different culture and eating habits.

I have met more Indians from around India than you perhaps might have met in India itself.

And I say it with full confidence, give Indian students a chance to opt for education in a Western country and they will take it in a blink of an eye!

Keep it real. Lets applaud the contribution of students from the sub-continent in Western countries but not go overboard with blind nationalism.

. . . .
It shows there is immense talent in the sub-continent which is being destroyed by pathetic general eductation system in India and Pakistan.

Once these guys get exposed to real educational system and opportunities abroad they start shining...

Back at home, they wouldn't have done a jack and would be just average students (99% of the time, it is true).
The talent exists in a higher frequency in the Indus regions of the sub-continent, no question about it, I genuinely believe folks from the north of the sub-continent have more innate ability than the southerners yet credit to the southerners they probably work four times as hard and make the most out of their more limited ability.Kudos

Your statement might be true for pakistanis..In fact it most probably is true for pakistanis.

The passport holding figure is a clear indication what percentage of people intend to travel. Out of that 5%, there is just a small percentage who are students. So your logic of 99.9% doesn't make sense.

Good job forcefully inserting pakistan into arguement when article talks about indian origin students only.

What ? Such a huge number.
What is this obsession with meeting indians ?

Their future is bleak in India where now RSS-BJP extremists will teach them about the 1001 benefits of eating cow urine and cow dung and how Parmanu bum was invented by Parameshwar Maharishi 7000 years ago. Yes, that English which you hate and which you RSS fellows wants to replace in India with Hindi which helps those students to progress. English education, Liberal thinking - These are two things Sanghis and Mu-Sanghis are against at.
