Bangalore: The mystery over the missing nuclear scientist L Mahalingam, finally came to an end, as his dead body was retrieved from the River Kali in Karwar by the Naval divers. Mahalingam, who was working with the Kaiga Nuclear Plant, had gone mission on June 8. His body was recovered at 10 PM tonight. His family members reportedly identified the body.
It is not immediately known whether Mahalingam committed suicide or was drowned. the police is also looking into any possible foul play in his death. Mahalingam's body was recovered by a specialist Naval divers' team.
