Indian Navy to induct Boeing P-8I this year

KSA definitely not, Israel will have something against that, but S. Korea has ordered it too and just like Turkey, they are under the control of the US, we aren't and that might be the issue so far. That's why I always say, on time delivery of C130 or C17 is nice and good, but as long as they don't provide us the top notch things, that really make a difference, they will remain a bad choice. See MMRCA where the US fighters had only JSOW on offer, while Rafale, EF and "possibly" even Gripen were offered with real cruise missiles for long range strike attacks. Same reaons why the UAE prefers M2K-9s over other US fighters, since they have Scalp versions for deep strikes.

They won't allow to integrate any other weapon system into the P8, if at all Israeli PGMs maybe, but even that is doubtful, let alone Indian or even anything with Russian involvement (not to mention that Russian won't allow the integration of Brahmos into a US aircraft either).

That's why am always against US weapons dude. they are screwing more to give their weapons to others. But why not DRDO can't develop a such stand off land attack missile. are their any plans or are we lacking in technology to develop. I think we should go for a license production of SCALP that will benefit india more. Is that possible dude.

They have plan to induct around 30 of these flying radars..PPP with reliance

With Brahmos. Brahmos light and Nirbhay we have options coming in, but we need Scalp in the short term for sure, but I'm surprised that we didn't heared anything about the procurement of it, for the M2K- upgrade.
Also there was an RFI send out for stand off weapons, which included a licence production and Scalp were a possible contender, but I doubt that anybody would sell such a weapon including a licence production deal.

Anyway, wrt the US..., we have to put more pressure on them and make it clear that we are interested in their arms, techs and even in JVs or co-developments, but not in the terms they put on their allies. Only then we get more important deals with them.
