I think humanity as a whole is becoming "less religious" by the day
Religion was of paramount importance in Medieval (dark era) and the religious institutions at times had more power than the state/sovereign after renaissance and era of enlightenment humanity as a whole has a more naturalist outlook towards life.

I honor our history and our culture but i don't think everything is attributable to one factor.

heck 200-300 yrs ago we thought earth was flat and had an end, eclipse was the wrath of god among various other things
religion primarily emerged to explain what humanity couldn't comprehend at that point of time, everything that we can't understand is attributed as "supernatural"
atoms, space, relativity of time we have achieved so much in so little time

and I'm not stoking the flame of one thinking being better than other, i was raised in a moderately religious household, i dont actually believe in an higher power but have learned to understand that you shouldn't judge people who do.

Religion and Science are different subjects. The basis of religion is the metaphysical belief in the unseen Creator. Science only explains physical phenomena which is constrained by the law of conservation. It cannot explain the creation of energy, and cannot answer larger questions such as why do we exist, or why does the universe exist.

Even wealthy liberal Muslims these days are growing beards and wearing Burqas.

Attendance at Mosques has increased too since Modi came to power.

Muslims have no future under RSS/BJP ruled India.

They will have to create another Pakistan for themselves.

One muslim panalist in a TV discussion said this, that if muslims stop their hatred for other religions especially hindus, automatically Hindu hatred and discrimination against them will stop. He says Hindu discriminatory and extremist attitude in today's India is a reaction to muslim extremist ideology. Religion exist where there are no answers, fortunately in last 150 years we humans as a collective group have started finding answers. Just 50 years before hardly 2% of people were properly educated, so even if the answers were there there were hardly some who can read books / have access to libraries. Today with internet all religious lies can be debunked in no time.

How babies are born (Farishtey bachhey laate hain)
Reason for Earthquake (Khuda ko gussa aaya)

Today we know ho earth was formed (it took millions of years not 6 days), we know how water cycle works , we know process / genetics behind child birth, we have clear understanding of motion on tectonic plates causing earthquake.
