i watched his show

Firstly, I didn't take part in the poll because Arnab is certainly not normal but he is also not "Retard" ( someone changed that word in the thread title to the better one, "Psycho"). He is not psycho in the sense of films which are on that topic. He is just unthinking and brainwashed.

Secondly, some years ago the Hindu Right used to hate Arnab but after the JNU incident of "Bharat Tere Tukde Honge, Inshallah" from 2016 he suddenly changed his ideology and became a right-winger ultra-nationalist and the darling of not only such people as Gen. G.D.Bakshi but also those among the masses who support these right-wing ultra-nationalists.

Can Indian members explain where this TV news culture of inviting guests on to shout at them and at one another developed from? Goswami’s show is the worst but I’ve noticed this in other programs too, people often have shouting matches.

Definitely seems like an Indian media thing, haven’t seen it as prevalent elsewhere.

I believe there is another theory. That certain Kashmiri students ( not the Shehla Rashid type ) became over-enthusiastic and raised that slogan.

There is a third theory. ABVP saboteurs raised that slogan.

It started more or less by Goswami himself others just copied the style on viewing the success. Indian public don't want news they want sensation and drama and wants to see ultimately their viewpoint triumphs over others. The debates were never to accommodate different viewpoints rather it was to show their viewpoint is superior. MSM understood it and it spreaded like wildfire.
