Dubai: A man was sentenced to three months in jail followed by deportation for touching a woman’s backside in a local mall, a Dubai court heard on Monday.

The 35-year-old Syrian victim said that she was in Dragon Mart last August when a 33-year-old Indian defendant followed and then groped her.

“I was buying some toys with my children when I saw the defendant,” she said. “He kept staring at me in a way that scared me. He stood behind me and kept checking my body, despite the fact that my clothes were not revealing. Then he touched my backside,” she added.

The victim shouted at the defendant and other shoppers gathered around until police arrived and arrested the defendant.

“It was 10am on a Friday and there were few shoppers in the mart,” she added.

The defendant admitted to touching the woman’s body and surveillance cameras supported her version of events.

Dubai Public Prosecution charged the defendant with sexually abusing the victim.

The court ordered the defendant be deported after serving his jail term.

I feel very strongly about the activity of these scumbags.
I’ll tell you about a recent incident where an Indian man in the U.K. who owned a clothes store was groping women who came in to buy clothes.
This store had a changing room where this man would do the dirty.
No women made any complaints until someone I know who was groped told the police, who investigated and requested women come forward, ( from customer payment records) It so happened that no women came forward to make formal
complaints but some had made informal statements.
I know the lack of response came from
‘izzat’ , shame or perceived guilt / blame on the part of the victims. Also knowing the police ask very personal questions coupled with the knowledge that male family members would take this very very seriously to the point of causing havoc.

This man had been doing this for god knows how long.
Police knowing the seriousness visited me as well as other male members of the victim to warn us not to take any ‘vigilante justice’ .

End result no conviction due to lack of evidence but I can tell you the store was shut down / out of business. Take that how you will.
Point I want to make, like I posted earlier is these men think they’ll get away with it and often they do.
Not in this case though, conviction or no conviction.

can I just add that I’m not singling out Indians here. This was only because the perpetrator in this case was Indian.

The few Pakistani ‘grooming ‘ gangs uncovered in the UK have done untold damage to the image of the majority law abiding British Pakistanis.
We all feel totally shamed by the actions of these dirty scumbag b******s.
I hate the fact that in the past white associates have brought this up.
I have to explain’ hey it’s got nothing to do with us just like white paedophile gangs have got nothing to with them.
Though fact is we are a minority so it is different for us.
