NEW DELHI: An Indian national was among those killed in the terror attack in Afghanistan's capital on Monday, the ministry of external affairs said and called for the perpetrators of the assault as well as those who provide them shelter to be brought to justice expeditiously.

A bomb exploded near a heavily-fortified foreign compound in Kabul, killing at least four people and wounding over 100. The Taliban on Tuesday claimed responsibility for the attack in Kabul that ripped through surrounding neighbourhoods.

"India strongly condemns the horrific terror attack in Kabul yesterday in which an Indian national and many others lost their lives," the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement Tuesday.

The Indian Embassy in Kabul is taking steps for repatriation of the mortal remains of the Indian national, the MEA said.

"We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this cowardly attack and wish early recovery to the injured," it said.

It is in best interest that for the stability of Afghanistan, India should invest billions and billions of dollars and thousands and thousands of soldiers.

India will make Afghanistan peaceful again.

Another reminder of why Afghanistan should not be handed to the pack of wolves and have a chance to move to the civilized world.

There are many people who died there. Yes, just as our own died, so did other innocent Afghans who were nothing but random citizens and officials. It is a matter of shame that terrorism has become the biggest weapon for different countries around the world, who continue to block the definition of terrorism in the United Nations, despite numerous of their own having died to this form of attack.

Afghanistan should brush this aside and resolve to take revenge for this; against the perpetrators. Killing innocents in retaliation will not do anything better than this terrorist attack.

Who was this Indian? Any name? What he was doing in Afghansitan? What purpose this "heavily fortified building" was used for? Who were the other people who died along with him?
